Hi,

Finally starting to sort myself out after our magical holiday, and thought would post my thoughts/what we got for upgrading to premium. TBH on the way out, it was great, we had a separate check in (only one person in front of us, instead of the mile long queue in the normal check in), a tag was added to our case saying "last on/first off", which worked brilliantly, we were allowed to go through fast track security. Below is a list of what I wrote down to show people what we got.

- The feet space was very spacious.
- The crew on the way out were brilliant, so attentive and nothing was too much trouble.
- On our seat there was a blanket, neck pillow and L'Occitane set.
- We were offered either orange juice or “sparkly wine” for our first drink.
- Head sets were brought around free of charge.
- You could watch a choice of around 8 films, you had the TV set in the back of the seat in front of you, and you could watch the film when you wanted, and could stop/start the film at any time.
- Games available on the TV set.
- The meal menu was brought around and order taken.
- Before the meal you could order any drink (except champagne) and were given a small pack of pretzels.
- Starter :
- Serpentini pasta with mushrooms and parmesan cheese shavings
- With fresh bread roll.
- Main Meal :-
- Chicken Risotto with porcini sauce and green beans
- Or
- Beef stroganoff with onion mash and garden vegetables
- Or
- Tortellini truffle with wild mushroom ragout.
- Dessert-
- Lemon and lime glazed cheesecake
- And
- Chocolate and orange sponge
- And
- Cheese and biscuits
- And
- 2 Lily O’Brien chocolates

- Offered red or white wine.
- Then tea/coffee/water.
- Later on they brought around miniatures of either brandy or baileys.
- Gave out The Mail newspaper.
- Gave out the OK/OK USA magazine.
- Another round of drinks
- Vanilla ice-cream in a little pot.
- Another drink.
- Then around an hour before landing they brought around :-
- “Afternoon Tea”
- Chicken mayonnaise roll
- Cheddar and red onion chutney finger roll
- Fruit scone with clotted cream and strawberry jam.
- Lily O’Brien chocolates served with choice of tea or coffee

We arrived early, went to wait for our cases which were out so quick.

We loved the premium - the only downside and upset was that it was not available on the way back as they changed the plane.

I hope this helps people who are unable to decide whether to upgrade to premium or not.

This has to be one of the most detailed reviews of an airline I have ever seen! :thumbsup2 Do you know how it is going to help people who are considering booking PE with Thomson?! It's always nice to see a review of service when it goes right. What a great start to your holiday!

BTW, I do think you should bookmark this so that you can post a link instantly whenever someone has questions about FC/T premium cabin! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Ah thanks, I know we had a hard time deciding if it was worth paying the extra, in the end it was the free entry into royal palm lounge at sanford airport that decided for us. Good job I took a small note pad to write down each thing, as it came out fast and furious. My sister said all that was missing was the popcorn to go with the ice cream pot for watching the films :lmao:

think im going to upgrade after reading this i went with them last year but never upgraded

Thanks for posting. We're travelling economy with Thomson this year, however next year may have to persuade DBF to upgrade! :)
