Faxing the resort?

I made my room requests on my ressie. Do I need to fax as well? I know in the past that was the thing to do but I'm not sure now. thanks......

No need to fax if you have your requests in your reservation. Most resorts are not looking at faxes.

DO NOT FAX. They will not look at fax. As long as you know its on your reser you should be fine. To be safe call 4 days before you arrive to tell them again. I usually call and always got what I wanted down to the room #.

Jasminesmommy - who do you speak to when you call? The front desk or do you ask to speak to a room assigner? Do you just ask to confirm your requests?

When I made my reservation for POR I asked for non-smoking, Alligator Bayou, building 14 or 15. The CM was very nice but he said he only had one line to fit request on so my reservation states POR non-smoking. It doesn't state anywhere on my reservation (that I can see) Alligator Bayou or a building preference. Should I make mention of this next time I call to make a payment?

I call the hotel directly and tell who ever answers i was calling for a room request and they usually transfer me to the appropriate person who helps me.

When you call the resort you are not actually talking to someone at that resort but a call center.

When I call they say the hotels name. I thought since they were answering Thank you for calling "such & such hotel" it was the hotel. I guess it all depends on what # you call but I call the hotel itself.

Even if you call the number for your resort and they say thank you for calling .... chances are very high that you are not actually getting the resort.

If you already have it noted in your reservation no need to call.

Wow safetymom that was fast. On my ressie it just says non-smoking. I booked thru AAA and had her call in my building request. She said she called it in. I'm one of those who always faxed and got my requests.

We're at POR and want the Mansions this time. So should I call that in?

Have them note Mansions on your reservation.
