After reading the favourite products thread, I decided to ask the question: Who's your favourite singer?

It will be interesting to see the range of responses...

Now for my favourite singer/performer of all time, forever and ever is...

GARTH BROOKS!!!!!!

WOOHOO!!

Anyone else care to share?!:Pinkbounc

I actually have more than one:

Raul Malo
Rob Thomas
Chris Trapper

Chris is #1 in my book, but I've gotta love all 3 of them

David Bowie, just love his voice

Good question. I'll replace "music singer" with artists/bands/or whatever's applicable. ;)

I'm a huge fan of Dying Fetus, Jimmy Buffet, Norah Jones, Morbid Angel, Queen, Tool, Testament, and the musicals of Andrew Lloyd Webber.

"Dying Fetus"? I'm sorry but IMO, that's sick.

I'll follow SOTM's lead, in random order:

The Beatles, Marvin Gaye, Bruce Springsteen, Chicago (before Terry Kath died), Norah Jones, The Temptations, The Beatles, Maroon Five, Tower of Power, Natalie Merchant, Van Morrison, Michael Buble (did I mention The Beatles?)

I do like the a couple of the hip hop songs I hear playing on my DD's iPod.

Tough choice....Counting Crows' Adam Duritz

But my all time favorites are the old time singers, Peggy Lee, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin etc.

I also love Amy Lee's (Evanescence) voice.

If I can only pick one...I'll have to stick with Freddie Mercury as my all-time fav. As far as 'currently performing', I'd have to agree that Rob Thomas is pretty amazing. ::yes::

SOTM, "Dying Fetus" IS a bit on the graphic side, titularly. Of course, I've listened to pretty nasty stuff back in my day.

"Back i my day?" Have I gotten that old? oy.

Anyway...

Throwing Muses and Kristen Hersh's self titled stuff.
Radiohead, up to and including Ok Computer.
The Police are still great.
Sarah McLachlan
Tori Amos, though she lost me somewhere in the middle.
Liz Phair (HWC anyone?) Seriously, I like her past and present.
Smashing Pumpkins
Blackmore's Night
Mediaeval Baebes (who? you ask. They sing OLD songs. Like 600 to 700 yr old songs. Get thee to the Rennaissance Faire!
Elton John was awesome until the 80's.
Peter Gabriel

I hit submit too soon by mistake, but the list is long enough eh?

Ahaha... oh, I listen to a lot "sicker." :p

It's still sick. But the title itself pales in comparison to the self-deprecation of NIN. Or is *gasp* NIN "old school" now?
