With spring coming in, it will soon be time for family and friends gatherings.
What is your favorite yard games that you play.
Anyone remember Jarts?

"Have You Ever?"
I had never played this til last summer, but it was SO much fun!
You put a marker on the ground to form a circle for everyone that is playing, minus one. One person stands in the middle of the circle and has to say something they have done. Example: Have you ever ridden a horse? But it has to be something that person has actually done. Everyone who has done it has to race to a new spot, whoever doesn't get a spot is the new center person, kind of like musical chairs. You just play til you don't want to, no winners or losers :)

Badminton! For some odd reason, it always reduces us to helpless giggles. Maybe because we start joking around and wind up to silly to properly serve the birdie, and it all cascades from there til we wind up bent over on the lawn, laughing til we cry.

Aside from that, horseshoes!

My BIL plays Jarts with Tequila shots in the rings. Towards the end of the game it get really funny to watch!

Im not really a game playing person, but it seems like you can't go anywhere there is an outdoor gathering and people aren't playing cornhole.

Love Jarts!!!

Jarts, croquet and badminton are our favs.

Horseshoes is also big where I'm from.

Bocce Ball
And we still play croquet occasionally at the grandparents and the kids enjoy it.

We like Bocce Ball

We saw a Jarts game at the sporting goods store-no metal spikes in the end, just weighted like Weebles.

Jarts and alcohol? :lmao: :)

Well, mine is horseshoes. As a teen I was nationally ranked. But now I play once a year, if that.

But our new home to be has a really large yard compared to my current one, and I plan to set up for volleyball / badminton. I also enjoy Frisbee golf.

Around where I live, it is pretty much unknown... or, at least I have NEVER seen it played, though I know what it is. It seems to be HUGE in the midwest.
