Hi all,
I'm not a vegetarian but I like to eat a few meals without meat here and there. Are there any vegetarian options you've particularly enjoyed?

I'm not a vegetarian either, but do like some meatless meals. These are some of my favorites:

Magic: Rapunzel's night 1: Portobello Triangalo
404864

Wonder(Captain's Gala Menu) and Magic: Lumiere's night 2: Thai Red Pumpkin and Coconut Curry
404865

The truffle pursettes are an appetizer, but you can ask for an entree sized portion and have that for dinner. The butternut squash soup is really good, too.

You don't say what ship you are traveling on...but for Pirate Night on the Fantasy and the Dream (7 and 4 night respectively) they had a mushroom ravioli entree that is awesome. I also am not a vegetarian.

I love the mushroom ravioli. It’s on one of the standard MDR menus. I get it every time!

I too LOVE the mushroom ravioli & the pumpkin/coconut curry. They're delish.
Also, they sometimes put pasta primavera (penne) at cabanas, and its awesome.
I'm a vegetarian and the meals I've had while on the DCL were all well above average. Some even extremely good. That's one of the 1000 reasons we keep going back: they do care about catering to all kinds of meal preferences.

Thanks for the great recommendations! We’re going to be on the Wonder this summer. I’m glad to hear the pumpkin coconut curry is good. I definitely had my eye on that one. Has anyone tried the sesame halloumi parcels in animators palette?

I’ve had the black bean cakes in animator’s and thought they were pretty good. I’m like you - I eat meat just not all the time.

My daughter is vegan and enjoyed many of the curry meals they made for her. I joked with our server from Thailand at lunch one time and wished they had more thai meals. I love going to Lotus of Siam every time we go to Las Vegas. They have some great northern thai dishes there.

I myself was curious about the vegetarian options, as some nights I prefer not to have as heavy of a meal. I LOVE the soups on cruises. I’m definitely a soup girl anyways, so I’m assuming most of those are vegetarian as well? Some nights even bread, soup, salad, & a small dessert is all I need!

I ate much lighter on my past cruise. While I am not vegetarian, I chose to eat this way most of my cruise. The offerings are quite good. The mushroom ravioli and there was a strudel with spinach and wild mushrooms I loved.

I love the vegetarian options on the ships - the Noodles on Pirates night are fantastic, but the best is the tofu in the Royal Palace - soooo good!!

You have to request this the night before. Ask for eggplant adobo. Ask that a Filipino chef makes it for you.

Never assume a soup is vegetarian. Make them ask the chef about the stock.
I’m not a true vegetarian either so I was more or less talking about pieces of meat, not the stock itself. (Yes I’m weird lol) but thanks for the heads up.

I eat vegan. They have a vegan menu that is not advertised and it is a chefs choice. I left it up to my server every night to surprise me. WOW. The chefs on the Magic did a wonderful job. We got off the Magic 1 week ago.
They also greatly improved their dessert menu for vegans!

Last year we did the Anyone Can Cook demo on the Wonder. They did the mushroom risotto, it was so good, I wanted to run out of the demo with the pot of it!! And I don't really care for mushrooms or risotto! The chef said they have it on one of the menus, but I don't remember which one.

I know there is mushroom risotto at Palo. Not sure about anywhere else.
