Favorite Tip from Disboards?

- PP first....always first. :thumbsup2 (Dangermouse)
- HydroGuy's "How to get the Most out of a Summer Visit" thread. It was a revelation to me & it turned me into a rabid DLR Dis'er.
- The ability to enjoy MM (formerly EE) the day of departure AND the day of arrival (when staying at a DLR hotel). I've twice driven the LA freeways at 6am to take advantage of this very cool priviledge.
- Carnation Cafe for a late morning Breakfast (after early touring & FP collecting of course). :thumbsup2
- Sitting in Row One (top level) for Soarin' (just ask the CM).
- The people who told me NOT to pull the pole (& rope) in the Indy Line. :rolleyes1
- Always take an afternoon break (if only for a couple hours).

Where do you get the Jungle Cruise maps again? My DD8 loves that ride and I want to get one for her. :)

Favorite tips
Fast Pass information
upgrading your PH's to AP's!!!! :) I think that's my absolute favorite! LOL
and Buzz Lightyear tips

You can ask the CM at the podium after you get off the boats. (Where you would line up to board if you were in a wheel chair)

My favorite tip? Hojos Entertainment Rate. Thanks DM!!!!! I've stayed there on that rate 3 times in the last 6 months!:cool1:

Ohh........... and the Night Time Entertainmant Trifecta. We did it last weekend, and my DH kept laughing at me when I referred to it as "The Trifecta."

:) Ordering groceries to be delivered to the hotel.

:) Using FP's after the time expires.

:) Upgrading to an AP if you plan on visiting more that once per year.

:) Waiting until you have used your MM before upgrading to said AP.

I have learned too much to list! I have been copy/pasting everything into a word document that I am making into a little book for all my family to take to DLR when we go next week! It is 53 (half) pages long (including full menus from allears)!

I love going to Disneyland knowing exactly what to expect, from ticket pick-up and crowd levels to food recommendations and entertainment tips and hints. DIS is the best!! :worship:

That is awesome!! I respect that level of commitment!

MM touring list ~ our MM 2 Tues. ago was amazing!

HoJo's ent. rate! Finally gonna stay there in Dec. (so far away)

FP tips and tricks.

Trifecta tips! Would've pulled it off smoothly on 4/20 had they not canceled the fireworks.

Photopass groups! Done this twice now and it's great!

Just ask a CM at the end of the ride when you are exiting the boat. They should know what you are talking about.

Child Swap - We had a two year old with us and three kids. We got fast passes for some of the rides. When we did the child swap - it allowed one extra child I used another one of the fast passes and had to ask if my other child could go on even if they didn't have a fast pass ticket. One almost said no but someone behind me said, Oh come one and they let us go. Another time they just gave me a single rider ticket. So we got to go one twice in a row through the fast pass lanes. That was great!

picking my favorite tip would be like picking my favorite kid:rotfl:

if i had to say one i'd say the best one is the ebb and flow of the guest at the park. how early morning it's somewhat empty(thus early arrival) then mid day its packed(hence a mid day break) then at night its a ghost town. knowing this allows you to plan.

~Fast Pass return times
~Hydroguys comparison of fastpass collecting using MM and not using MM
(eye opening for someone who always went late to the parks)
~DangerMouse's Trifecta Post - a night of entertainment :worship:
~Hojo's Entertainment Rate information.
~Recommendations for MiMi's... GREAT food; GREAT prices!!!! :lovestruc

:) I, too, have been putting everything I've learned from the DIS in a Word document since I can't remember it all. I also have been making our daily schedule. I'm going to print it out and get it laminated so I can bring it with us to the parks.

Favorite tips:
:) make copy of tickets (if you lose them, you can take the copy with the number on the back and get new ones).

:) If staying at the DLR, call vacation planning (714) 300-7526. They can tell you about all of the perks.

:) As PP have mentioned, re: FP, collect in morning, use at night.

:) SafetyTats- temporary tattoos with your cell number in case your kids get lost.

:) Cool FP, ticket, etc. holder from mouseshoppe.com.

:) The recommended order of rides at FL: PP, Dumbo, Alice, Matterhorn, Teacups/Toad, Carousel, Pinocchio, Snow White.

:) Ride Storybook and Jungle Cruise at night.

:) The first aid station has cold, filtered water.

I know that it has already been mentioned before, but I love the tip for the Entertainment rate at HOJO's! It saves big $$$. :thumbsup2

I've learned everything I know from this site. I should make a t-shirt: 'All my knowledge about Disneyland I got from DISboards.'
I love how everyone is so forthcoming and willing to help out everyone even when they are answering the same questions for the millionth time:love:

This is how I feel! :worship: I am so grateful for what I have learned and because of the tip about HOJO ENT  rate will be able to enjoy some "fancy" dining without breaking the bank.:woohoo: I will also be getting two MM's instead of one and know what to do with them both! :dance3:

I am going to start making a word document now thanks to the tips on this thread...another example of a great idea!
