Favorite spots to "picnic" in Magic Kingdom

Ever since I've learned you can bring in your own food, I've been obsessed with saving a few bucks by packing sandwiches and drinks for our lunches. Is there a general spot people go to to spread out and picnic? Or do you just grab a table somewhere? I'm hesitant to take up space at a table at a restaurant if we're not actually spending any money there. So where should we actually go to eat our PBJs?

Yeah table at a restaurant is not a good idea but there are places you can sit. If you plan ahead, Tom Sawyer Island has lots of shade and you could sit there. If it's hot the trick is finding a shady spot and benches tend to not be placed in the shade. If you don't mind a late picnic, right at the kerb while staking out your spot for a parade is a great time waster

I think Rapunzel's bathrooms are a nice spot.
Also, depending on the timing, Tortuga is often not serving but has tables where you can sit and eat. You can really eat any place where there are table - as long as it isn't busy and you aren't taking a table while people buying lunch there are trying to find one.

Tomorrowland Terrace is usually not serving food but will have the tables open.

We used to go picnic in the gazebo on Tom Sawyer's Island overlooking the Haunted Mansion. It's nice because there are some drink machines on the island (so you can grab another bottle of water) and there never seems to be many people over there.

We've also ordered food from Columbia Harbor House and brought it over there to eat. great place to people watch and take a break without leaving the park.
