Favorite Smells?? Candles, Oils, Scentsy, oh my.

I only buy my candles from Bath and Body Works now. Love how they burn clean and when the candle is gone, you have an empty jar, not a jar full of wax with a hole burned down the middle.

The scent is also stronger and lasts longer.

Compared to those, YC is junk.

I absolutely love Yankee Candles. My current favorite is the Vanilla Lime scent.

I have nasal allergies and am ok with light scents. Anything heavy and my allergies kick in

The scents I like and can take are:

Hydrangea (Yankee Candle)
Lilac (I can smell this all day as long as it's not soy based)
Jasmine
Gardenia
Rose (certain scents, others can be too strong)
Sweet Pea (Yankee Candle)
Apple Cider/mulled cider
Christmas Wreath (Yankee Candle)
Balsam (Yankee Candle)
Pine (Yankee Candle)

There are a few PartyLite scents I like as well. Some scents have even been discontinued though

My SIL just started selling Scentsy. I bought some out of "obligation," but I really ended up liking it.

I prefer the fruit and food smells. My favorites right now are Camu Camu and Mochadoodle.

I have worked at Bath and Body for years and have only used their ccandes and oils for the longest time...THEN I met a Scentsy consultant!

Oh my! LOVE SCENTSY...They last so much longer than any tart or oil...it's only $5 for and 8 pack and you really only need one per room!

I also love Scentsy! I used to use some other plug-ins but very often they would be overpowering and give me headaches. But Scentsy smells wonderful without overpowering. I got some as a Christmas present and love them.

Yankee Candle
will only do non- floral scents (anything that uses a flower scent including fresh linen or what they think an ocean smells like. I live near one and I don't smell
a single flower)

my favorite scent is called Vanila Cupcake. There is also a holiday scent that I love. He candle is red and the scent contains cinnamon, but I cannot recall the name.

I wish I could enjoy the floral scents...but an allergy/sensitivity prevents that.

I can attest to this! I'm a Scentsy convert and love their Sweat Pea and Vanilla scent. I also enjoy the Havana Cabana (Banana) smell. VERY sweet!

I have two plug-in night lights and when I can't smell the scent anymore (about a month or two), I simply let the wax cool a bit, then easily swipe it out with a paper towel. I get a clean paper towel and wipe the burner down, then put another chunk of wax in there and I'm good to go again!

My only problem is that I recently bought a $20.00 brick and can't for the life of me figure out an easy way to cut it up into 'bite sized' chunks for my burners. I typically wind up with little pieces and shavings all over. Can you help me out with that?

I was having the same problem... I just use a knife, but I hold it under hot water for a few seconds and then cut.. I have also tried putting the brick in a warm place for about a half hour let it soften just a bit and then cut it into peices and I cut the whole thing so I don't have to do it again.

I'm not a perfume/lotion type of girl by any means. That said, I am ADDICTED to Bath and Body Works' Warm Vanilla Sugar smell. I own everything they sell in it-- body spray, hand lotion, hand sanitizer, hand soap, eau de toillette, you name it. My sister always makes fun of me and tells me I'm going to be mistaken for a giant cookie and eaten by a blind person, but I can't help it XD

LOVE Scentsy!!! I just had a party & between my order & hostess benefits, I'll have 10 burners, 2 plug ins & about 20 scents. Right now, I have the 2 Halloween burners on either side of my mantle with a pumpkin scent. Yum!!!

Love Scentsy! I too am also an independent consultant! I love the product so why not sell it right... been selling for 3 yrs and have a scentsy or two in each room (not that I have them all on I just love too many of the warmers lol)!

There is a youtube video I think it's called scentsy brick cutting or something like that. It helped me alot..she cuts the brick with a soap cutter.

Love Yankee Candle! My favorite scents are the beachy scents- Sun and Sand, Beachwalk, Beach Towel. I also like the fall and Christmas scents.

I love the smell of Coppertone sunscreen and Noxema, and Yankee Candle's Sun and Sand scent reminds me of a mixture of the two scents. Win, win!
