Favorite singer/songwriters

Who are some of your fave singer/songwriters. Some of mine are Paul Simon, by himself and with Art, James Taylor, of course Jimmy Buffet since I'm a major parrothead, but I'd classify his earlier work as singer songwriter not the new stuff.

My favorite singers at the moment are Nickelback. I think Chad, the lead singer, writes their music.

I didn't really think of Clapton as a singer/songwriter til unplugged. I always think of a person, outfront by themselves with just their guitar and words they wrote.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned Lennon/Mccartney yet! They were amazing songwriters and singers too. I'm not that old but I've wore out a few albums in my time, but I never get tired of the Beatles!

i know i know rather clichee but,, i really like ronnie van zants writing and his songs will live forever ( The original lead singer of lynyrd skynyrd)
