Favorite server on the Magic???

Does anyone know if Chetan and Linda (from Germany) are still on board?

Chetan was one of the head servers on our March 11-18, 2006 cruise.

I found out on our cruise (March 11-18) that Navneet was on his honeymoon but was excepted to return to the Magic.

Linda is no longer onboard the Magic. Chetan is now promoted to H. Server, but will be on vacation shortly.

We had Tony on our first Magic cruise on the West Coast. We liked him so much that we went to find him whe we returned. He was so thoughtful and kind to our daughter and knew exactly what we wanted the minute it popped into our minds!

We cruised in Feb. '06 and had an AWESOME serving team: Vlado from Croatia and OKim from Indonesia. We are requesting OKim next year. Hopefully he'll be there.

On theother hand.....we had the WORST stateroom host ever. His name was Spartakas and he was taking care of Deck 7 midship. He was awful. Never even siad hi to usand ignored every request.

I think it is Rishi from India but I think he is in Palo now. The best head server is John from Scotland and Alan from Croatia is also good

Anton (Bulgaria) from Palo...he made fabulous wine/drink suggestions and appetizer/entree selections. He was so attentive and interesting. Our schedule permitted us to eat there only three times although we were invited by Anton every evening. (If there was an opening...he would call us.)

We are planning to do the Mediterranean cruise August of '07 and I will miss him terribly because this is to be his last year of cruising. He will be returning to college to get his degree in advertising at Boston University.

Nav should be back by June....we were talking to another server and asking about Navneet - that's how we found out he was on his honeymoon....this server told us she would let his friends know we were asking about him because she was leaving in 5 weeks and Nav was scheduled to come back the following week.

thanks for the information--can you request a server prior to the cruise and if so how do you do it.

Last time we cruised we changed our rotation so we could have him, but I think it added an extra table to his station.

We have had so many good servers! Our favorite is Marco from Palos. But we don't get him in main dining sooooo...Micho was our favorite, but he is now home with his family. For that for him we are most grateful! He loved the kids and with his at home it was hard. We have been fortunate to get to know several servers over the years and have gotten to see them on subsequent trips. On occassion Maclean, head server and John have helped us get just who we wanted.

Marco, though, WOW! He has been our Palo server 4 times, followed closely by Milan. There have been a few others who just didn't come close. Marco always sends us away with goodies for the kids. It is so nice talking with him about his home. Ask him if he is still seeing Julia. They had been seeing each other for over a year the last time we saw him. Sounded serious!

I agree 1000% We have been lucky enough to have Pa twice in a row! We love her. Also Dennis is great and Emmanuel in Palo is #1!!!

Our favorite server has been Erasmo. He's very efficient and personable and has always gone out of his way for us. The last time he was our server (in '04), he was working with Kendall.

When I was on the magic in 05 Erasmo was my head waiter and he was just flat out awesome.

Spartakas was my room stweard for room 7563 in 05. He was that bad, but was not that great either

Paula from Jamaica, our assistant server on the Magic was outstanding. Our DD3 woke up the last day and the first thing out of her mouth was "I wan't Paula". And DD3 is very reserved and shy around new people. I really hope Paula gets promoted soon. She so deserves it. Very friendly, very attentive, very funny. Good with everyone in our group (ages 3 -65).
