Favorite Restaurants for boys

This will be our first trip to disney, is T-Rex a quick service meal ?. We are doing all character dinners/ breakfast while we are there, I'm sure the kids will love that.

It was fun reading what restaurants other boys like. There seems to be recurring ones in this thread.

When I ask our boys, I was suprised by their answers... They like:

Tusker House BF they loved the characters and the buffet breakfast.

Whispering Canyon Cafe Dinner - they loved the shakes and the fun relaxed atmosphere.

Coral Reef they liked eating in an aquarium.

My DS is 15 now, but he still has some favorites from when he was younger (and insists on going back):

Chef Mickey's dinner
'Ohana Dinner
Les Chefs de France
50's Prime Time

We have never been to Sci Fi or T-Rex, but I'm sure these are great for boys. He loved 1900 Park Fare last trip (age 14). He had so much fun teasing the step sisters. He told them he wasn't a prince but that he owned several castles. So then they were trying to introduce him to their mother for approval. It was so funny!

My DS1 loved Chef Mickey's & the food @ Ohana. Fort Wildreness is cool for boys b/c of the rustic theme. Honestly besides princess meals you CAN'T GO WRONG!!! Hey sometimes boys love seeing the pretty princesses too. My husband sure enjoyed Cinderella asking him to dance, lol!!!

I have a DS2 and DS6. They liked Garden Grill the best for interaction with the characters. They loved TREX in DD, more for the entertainment, but the adults incl myself didnt care for the food.

So glad to hear this - we r going to GG this trip and I have only heard good things! My boys love chip and Dale!

DS (now 12) enjoyed the clips played at Sci-Fi. He also really liked seeing Mom and Dad being told to get their elbows off the table and eat all your veggies at 50's prime time. Whispering Canyon was also fun for him as we had a great server and he loved the antics, especially when DH asked for yet another refill and was brought a HUGE container of soda.

These are our boys' favorites, too! My boys are pretty picky so they like the typical kid food-nuggets, burgers, pizza...My 9 yr old's only request is to return to Cali Grill-he says their cheese pizza (flatbread) is the best, and they both love the goldfish crackers they give them to munch on.

For counter service, they request Casey's for corn dog nuggets, and Toy Story Pizza Planet (I'm not a big fan of the chaotic atmosphere).

Many good places mentioned. My Son 's favorite is ESPN Club. He Especially like's it if they are doing a pre-game show with trivia. Maybe its because he has won several prizes thanks to my trivia answers.
