Hi all,
I'm wondering what other DISers would choose as their favorite restaurant on the Boardwalk for dinner?

We have an early dinner reservation for Kouzzina in October, but I'm now worried after reading reviews that both the food and the wait time for food are generally unsatisfactory for most people.

We're trying to make it back to DHS in time for Fantasmic! that night, so we don't want something that's going to take hours. We'd also be willing to eat somewhere at the Swan/Dolphin I think.

TIA!

We had a good meal at ESPN. They were really quick and the food was good. It's obviously not upscale, but it hit the spot, and the service was really good, too.

1. bluezoo 2. Il Mulino 3. Shulas 4. Flying Fish

In that order.

Pakey's off just a bit:) It's actually Blue Zoo, Shulas, Il Mulino, Flying Fish.

And any of the four should be a good dinner!!

We actually really enjoy Big River Grille...we like to sit outside, have dinner and beer, and just enjoy the Boardwalk!

I'd say you are both a bit off :), and go:
Il Mulino, Bluezoo, Shula's, Flying Fish

Seriously though, any of those would be a very nice dinner.

I'm with Uncleromulus here, Blue Zoo is at the top pf the list!

For a less expensive alternative, I actually enjoy Kouzzina. Some complain that it isn't authentically Greek but at Disney most restaurants are Americanized to suit a miriad of palettes. The service is slow but we have late, relaxed dinners so I've never found the service to be an issue.

and lastly, I'm stuck on that Whole Roasted Fish w/ Fennel! We've never had a bad meal there!

Thanks for all the input! I really like the looks of Il Mulino and Flying Fish so DH and I will have to decide between those two!

One can never argue with Pakey or Uncleromulus, even when they don't agree. Therefore, the correct order is:
1. bluezoo
2. (tie) Il Mulino
2. (tie) Shula's
4. Flying Fish

We traveled from HS to Kouzzina via boat and were back in plenty of time to see Fantasmic. We didn't feel rushed at all. I didn't think the service was slow at all either, but on par with other restaurants of this type. If you want faster service just tell the waiter you need to get back to HS for Fantasmic and I'm sure they will accommodate you.

Also, the question on the food comes down to whether or not you like Greek cuisine. If you do, you will love Kouzzina. It is authentic, and it is very tasty. However, if you don't like Greek and/or Mediterranean food then pass. My guess is that most people who don't like it just don't care for the spice palate.

My family loves Greek food and we loved Kouzzina. Try the trio - Cinnamon Stewed Chicken, Lamb Slider and Greek Lasagna. It was great! I really liked the lamb ragu my daughter ordered as well. Everyone in our family enjoyed their meal, and we all got something different.

I'll add my vote for Il Mulino. We had a great dinner!! :)
If you are looking for something more casual, we have enjoyed the Brewery on the Boardwalk

Flying Fish, Flying Fish, Flying Fish!!!! Ok so it is my favorite.:bitelip: We always have a casual night at ESPN Club and have enjoyed Bluezoo as well. We tried Yachtsman this year as well and thought everything was very good. Would like to try Il Mulino next year.:thumbsup2

My favorite is Flying fish. Big Grill is good for a burger. I'm not fond of the food choices for Koizzina and didn't care for the food. I also LOVE Cape May Cafe that we had for the first time which is right across the lake.

If you like sushi, Kimono's at the Swan opens at 530p and it's the best sushi (and sangria!) on property. We like to go 530-830p as they start karaoke at 9p and it gets really loud. No reservations necessary.

We just tried the Flying Fish for the first time on our March trip and it is now a must do every trip.

We like Kouzzina and didn't have any trouble with wait or food. I will admit my husband had the trio and neither one of us liked the lasagne, but we loved the Cinnamon chicken. Overall we were quite pleased with the meal we had and everything moved fairly well.

Flying Fish Cafe is definitely a great place to eat! Food and atmosphere is just great! It's always on our list of places to eat every time we visit WDW~
