Favorite resort pool

Storm Along Bay. The Poly pool (does it have a name?) is pretty cool, especially since you can see MK while swimming, and we always enjoy POR pool. But SAB is the best resort pool I've seen.

99% of people here (including me) will tell you that SAB is by far the best pool on property, but if Beach Club/Yacht Club is not an option for you, here are some other ideas...

Boardwalk: Many complain because this is the "Clown Pool," and I had an irrational fear of clowns as a kid in the 80s that follows me somewhat into adulthood. That said, this pool doesn't scare me at all, and I find it rather whimsical and fun. It's in a great setting, where the old-timey circus/carnival theme works well with the look of the resort surrounding it, the pool bar (which looks like a circus tent), the Dumbo tiling around the edge of the pool and the slide which is actually my favorite slide on property. Also, for some inexplicable reason, we find the pool at BWI to be the coolest (temperature-wise) around. We highly recommend it.

Swan/Dolphin: What a GREAT pool! It's not overly themed, but it feels exclusive, big, the slide is great, and I love the waterfall effect. Pool bars flanking it are great too.

Grand Floridian: Another not-overly-themed pool, but great none-the-less. The Grand behind it paints such a gorgeous backdrop, and again, the waterfall is splendid. The quiet pool in the middle of the resort is just so huge, and feels nice and roomy. It's particularly lovely at night.

Contemporary: The main pool and quiet pool at the CR are boring and feel the most like bathwater due to there being no shade anywhere. The pool at Bay Lake Tower however is great. Awesome slide, visually appealing, and not terribly crowded as it's for Bay Lake Tower guests only.

Polynesian: The main pool is cool with a great view of the castle, but PACKED all the time. The quiet pool is much more relaxing, tropical feeling and again, really lovely at night.

Include me in the 1% of the not a big fan of SAB...

When we did go, my kids were 10...So, young but not too young. Might I add that they are both above avg. swimmers as well....I wasn't a huge fan of the way things were separated too into different sections. If a parent wants to just chill for a bit in a lounge chair, it's virtually impossible..Because the sight lines are obscured. Also the lazy river, is nothing lazy about it...It moves rather swiftly, and also don't like the fact that it's an 8 ft depth too in this area:confused3. Finally I'm not so sure who designed this part...When you want to go onto the slide, you have to first go outside the gated area, 2) go across the main/common path to get to the stairs leading up, & 3) come back down through the tube/slide which re enters into the pool. Very hard to keep your eyes on your kids but Who am I to say?

Enough about that, let's get to the real topic:

Favorite Mod: CSR. This pool setup is neat, the slide is better than most deluxes, and the opening ceremonies in the a.m. are cool for the kids too..
Overall I'd have to say BWV/Luna Park Pool, And SSR High Rock Springs Pool close 2nd.

We like the privacy of CBR pools.. Not the main pool but the little ones near each house. They are quiet & relaxing and one of the reasons we used to love staying there

CR main pool!

(OK, kidding) Probably CSR. We like most of them, though. The pool isn't the reason we choose a resort.

I do love SAB.

However, I also like the pool at AKL. I also liked that from a chair next to the entrance to the slide I could see the entire pool, not requiring me to have mild panic attacks about where my kid was all the blasted time.

My favorite is the pool at AKL Jambo House! The greenery is gorgeous and breaks up the concrete-y look you sometimes get at other resort pools. Love the location and theme of the pool bar, too. There are two secluded hot tubs and you're just steps away from savannah views! We always dedicated a few resort days and enjoyed the pool when we'd stay at AKL :)

I've only stayed at the moderate resorts and enjoy CSR's pool. It's wonderfully themed, with a great slide, and I've never had an experience where it was crowded. The Dig Site in general is great because there is QS and drink refill right on the pool deck.

This year i am staying at the Poly..i am having a afternoon lunch at Coronado Springs as i want to look around for future stay here..Would i be allowed to use pool?

No, pool hopping is not allowed, unless you are a DVC member, and then there are exceptions (listed on the members site).

This exactly, for why I'm not a fan of SAB.
