We've never done it before but I noticed a paragraph in the Disney files magazine that was trying to promote it, but then followed it by pool hopping is never available at AoA, BLT, DCR, AKL, DWL, BCR, YCR, Poly (apologies for any wrong acronyms). They also mention that it's not available during peak times.
Doesn't really feel like a perk![]()
The only pool I could ever see us hopping to is BWV, just based on the proximity to both EPCOT and DHS. It seems like it would be easy and a nice break. Otherwise, I would just use the pool where I am staying.

I read that you could use pools at hotels that were similar, (ie. port orleans French quarters guests at port orleans riverside). We are staying at pop century in October. Can we visit any other hotel pools?”
Hi, Amber! In Disney terms, this is called "pool hopping", and generally, it is not permitted. The exceptions to that rule include, as you mention, guests staying at Port Orleans French Quarter may use the resort pool at Port Orleans Riverside - and vice versa. If you are staying at an All Star resort, you may use the pools at any of the All Star resorts. Members of Disney Vacation Club may use the pools at most of the other Disney Vacation Club resorts (there are blackout dates and some exclusions).
The resorts that allow pool hopping are kind of like "sister" resorts - they are in very close proximity to each other. Guests of those resorts can usually walk between each other to access the pools. Pop Century stands on it's own, and there aren't any resorts that allow park hopping with Pop Century.
My gang loves the Pop Century Hippy Dippy Pool! I hope your family feels the same way!
It doesn't appear that DVC members can legitimately pool hop to non-DVC resorts.
Mom's Panel is crazy and is often very very wrong. As they are here.
