Hello all! I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place! Our next trip is planned for May 2007. We are staying at our condo off property thus no DDP. We don't mind paying a pretty penny as long as the food is great!

What are your favorite TS/CS in each park for adult only groups? Any character meals suggested either within or out of the parks? Yes, I am 28 but do enjoy the characters and good food! :wizard: :cool1: :thumbsup2

My favorite thus far (only been to WDW a couple times):

MK: Crystal Palace (didn't enjoy food much but enjoyed the characters). Haven't tried CRT yet....

AK: Tusker House - great carrot cake!

Epcot: So far it has been Mexico.... Also, like snacking around the world.

MGM: Haven't eaten here other than Sci-Fi - YUCK! (my opinion!)

Thanks! :teeth:

I love eating at the Castle. Cinderella's Royal Table has a wonderful breakfast (all you can eat) and Disney Princesses and FGM. EPCOT is by far the best place to eat for nice restaurants. My husband and I don't have any children and we always vacation at Disney and like to eat at nice places. Le Cellier at Canada is a wonderful steakhouse as you dine in a castle (their icewine martiini is divine). Also, try having drinks around "the World". Each land has unique alcoholic drinks from their country. California Grill (on top of the Contemporary) is a romantic place to eat and if you make your reservations close to the time of the fireworks you have a great view. They even dim the lights and play the music. We also love Narcoossee's at Grand Floridian. You can do the same thing here and make your reservations close to the time of the fireworks. O'hana's at the Polynesian is wonderful. This is served family style and you wonderful food. I hope this helps. I have many more ideas if you want to give me specifics. I will be happy to help.

Have you even considered Victoria and Albert's? Yes, it is on the expensive side but it is one of only 46 restaurants in the county which AAA has given a FIVE Diamond rating. It will be both a meal and an experience you have never had.

I like the hotels better.

Kona Cafe at the Polyn

Cape May cafe at the BC (okay character breakfast)

some people like California Grill at the Cont - I don't - personal taste

Concourse Steakhouse at the Cont

I also love the hamburgers over at the POR food court....

I am a Disney Food Lover!!!!!!! I have a bunch of favorite places to eat but I'd have to say one of my all time favorites is at the Ohana's in the Polynesia Resort. The California Grill at the Contemporary is another favorite and if you love seafood, try the seafood buffet at the Cape May Buffet at the Yacht and Beach Club popcorn::

I totally forgot about the Concourse Steakhouse! That is one of the best meals. Thanks for jogging my memory.

If you crave seafood then I heartily recommend the Blue Zoo (at the Dolphin hotel). The service was terrific and the food was exceptional. A taste sensation! And it is an "adult" restaurant.

There are so many fabulous restaurants that adults will particularly like:

Parks:
Brown Derby (MGM)
Tusker House (AK)
San Angel -- Mexico, Le Cellier -- Canada, Restaurant Marakesh or Tangeriene Cafe -- Morocco (Epcot)
Tony's Town Square, Plaza Restaurant (MK)

Hotels
Spoodles, Flying Fish (Boardwalk area)
Yachtsman Steakhouse (Yacht Club)
Shula's, Blue Zoo, Fresh, Kimonos (Swan/Dolphin)
California Grill (Contemporary)
Citrico's (Grand Floridian)
Jiko, Boma (AKL)

Thanks everyone! I'm still trying to narrow down our choices as we would like a couple of character meals but trying to find some that are less "kiddish" than others. Any suggestions?

We have gotten LeCellier for dinner one night on our trip. Looking forward to this one!

In my opinion I have never been to a character meal that is less "kiddish". They all seem to have the kids running, kids screaming and loud atmosphere to them. Don't get me wrong...I love kids. When my family goes together we always hit a few character meals. However, when my husband and I go to Disney we try and eat at some nice quiet places. Le Cellier is a great start. There are some great restaurants to try listed in this thread. Narcoossee's, California Grill, Concourse Steakhouse are top on my list. However, tops on my list for character meals is the eating at Cinderella's Royal Table. The breakfast is the best!

Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco was really good. It was recommended to us my a cast member. Even though I'm hesitant to try new things, I really loved eating there. Whenever I suggest it people think the food will be too hot, but it wasn't at all. The decor was so pretty and there was music and a belly dancer. There were kids there but I don't consider the atmosphere kiddy.

I also love dinner at Ciderella's castle, but that’s because I'm really a kid at heart :)
