Favorite Parade Spot & Best Parade

I got so many replies to my last parade question, it made me think of more.

What is your families favorite place to sit for the parades at each park?

Which parade is a 'must see'?

We'll be there mid Aug so I expect pretty high heat, and probably semi crowded conditions. What places would you suggest we sit for the various parades, where we can possibly have shade AND a bench. I dont mind getting there early to save the spot. I'll have my husband take the kids and keep them occupied. I'll use it as my relaxation time.

Do they have the Light Parade at all? I heard there is one on the water or something, what/where is that one?

MK parades...
for the Share a Dream Come True parade we like to be near the Main Street train station. More often than not we head out for a few hours after the parade, so this is a good place to land as we wait for the parade.
for Spectromagic we have tried many different places. I think the key is to get there early (60-90 minutes) -wherever you plan to view it -and save that spot! Be prepared. You'll be defending every square inch. If there are two Spectros plan to go to teh second one. It is MUCH less crowded

I asked a similar question on here a few weeks ago and someone recommended finding a place near Star Tours. That's what we'll be trying on our next trip

AK parade...


Electrical Water Pageant Parade is held each evening on the lake just outside the gate of MK. If you are in the area you can see it well. We once saw it from the walkway between GF and Poly and thought it was just breathtaking

Spectro is the best parade, in my opinion. My favorite place to view the parade & Wishes is from the 2nd floor of the train station. There are a few chairs, but you'll all have to get there pretty early for them. Unless the benches are right at the curb, you may run into people standing in front of you, causing you to have to stand on the bench to see the parade.

As far as the other parades, the afternoon parade at the MK is cute, but nothing I would sweat for. Same thing for the one at Animal Kingdom.

At MGM, we sat on the curb facing the exit/entrance closest to the store that is on the corner (not near the locker area). The parade ends here and we were in the shade the whole time.

My favorite daytime parade is the Mickey's Jammin Jungle Parade in AK, and the best place I like to see it is in Africa, across from Tusker House. There you get to see the parade twice since it starts and ends there. In the evening, I love Spectromagic.
