Favorite off-site restaurant?

We always have dinner at Emeril's at City Walk at Universal Studios on the night of our arrival.

Since I live in the area thought I would chime in here. I love Maggiano's on I-Drive. It's a chain but there aren't a ton of them. I absolutely love Mimi's Cafe, Season's 52 is fantastic, Bice at the Portafino Resort at Universal is heaven.

I'm glad to see a good review for Bice. We consider going every trip, but change our mind due to bad reviews. Now that I've seen a good review, I'll put it on the list for our next UO trip.

we really enjoyed Seasons 52 - all fresh food - there are two locations - we finally got Seasons 52 here in atlanta and just think it is great!

Ok, so yeah, Seasons 52 is a chain (Darden=Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze, Red Lobster, Smokey Bones), but its AMAZING.......its a quasi-seasonal menu (I went the first day the Dr. Phillips location opened, and it changed every week......but it has adapted to not as much change)....the flatbreads are great, as well as the shot glass desserts!!!! (every item on the menu has less than 475 cals for the healthy factor)

We have to try the orlando ale house, folks love it.

The ale house is my fav restaurant (that I can afford on a normal basis...otherwise Seasons 52) in Orlando......but also a chain.......its just a sports bar, but my FAV item on their menu are their Zingers (boneless chicken).....they MAKE the meal....I always get Zingers to split with my friends and then a cajun burger :-D LOVE IT!

Kobe is about 15.00 pp roughly and Bahama breeze is a little cheaper, prices similar to a Fridays.

We all love KOBE. It's the Japanese Steakhouse and there are always coupons in the hotel lobbies outside of the world. There are 4 locations, we've been to most of them, but my favorite location is the one off of Sand Lake Rd.near Westgate Lakes. The portions are huge and so yummy. It's so much better than Epcot's Japanese steakhouse.

We also LOVE LOVE LOVE Bahama Breeze, even though it's a chain. Try the garlic shrimp pasta or any of the jerk painted fish. The beer batter onion rings are enough for 4 people. The dipping sauce is amazing. The margarita coloda is awesome and the prices are good!

And our favorite little secret, at the crossroads there is a sports bar. We were looking for a place to watch the Eagles game and the ESPN club was mobbed. So we stumbled here and the munchies were great, good lunch menu if you want burgers, wings, etc. with huge portions, so cheap, and best of all, kids eat free on Sundays. Go figure!

We just saw Kobe on travel channel.........
when i llok at thier website, i do not see any prices - can you tell me about how much it is?
(popcorn:: please do not say "if you have to ask ____" LOL)

thank you

Tina

Kobe is around 15.00 pp depending on what you order. If I remember correctly I got steak, chicken and shrimp combo. Look in the coupon books too. They are always in there. They have them all over in hotel lobbies and tee shirt shops outside the world.

how much is chevy's? It looks yummy!

One of our absolute favorites is Timpano's Italian Chophouse. They are located at 7488 W Sand Lake Rd,Orlando, FL 32819 (407) 248-0429. Take a look at their website!

They have outstanding steaks, italian food and the service is top notch!
It beats Shula's hands down.

Any of these (or any others) on Restaurant . com? I'd love to try an off-site place, but I also love to save money. I don't know the area well enough to figure out if they are close enough to go to without wasting half the day. Thanks!

No contest for our family, Texas De Brazil!

I Have not been to the one in Orlando, but we have a couple here in the Dallas area (the first one is located here) and if you have the opportunity to go to one, do it! It's one of my favorite places.

On arrival day, we plan to go to the Orlando Premium Outlet - Disney's Character Premiere - directly from the airport. Any place interesting in that area for lunch? I know I'll be starving before we get to WDW.
