Favorite non-existent ride or attraction

Wow this threar really made me think. WDW has really changed since I was going as a kid (and I'm just 30). :confused3

My lost favorites:
1. Horizons -- loved picking the end and the "underwater" scenes
2. World of Motion - corny but good
3. The original Journey into Imagination
4. If I had Wings
5. Mr. Toad's
6. ALL of River Country -- nice somewhat quiet place to swim and have fun.

I never got a chance to ride 20K--it was always broken when we visited.

If You Had Wings, Presented by Eastern Airlines
Horizons, it was cool to pick the different means of travel
The original Imagination
The old song for COP..."Now is the time". Plus I liked the 19th century stuff
Mission to Mars

I really miss "If You Had Wings..." I loved the song. I can still hear it...."if you had wings, if you had wings, if you had wings, had wings, had wings..."

I also miss the way Main Street USA used to be when it had the old Penny Arcade and the Magic Shop.

I'm probably in the minority but i miss Superstar Television at MGM,

Total agreement with you on this!!! It was a lot of fun, not only to watch, but
if by chance you were chosen for a clip!! MY DW and I were selected for the
Cheers set a couple of times....and I got lines!!

:cool2:

The Hunchback of Notredame, at MGM. The best live show on property before Tarzan Rocks.

Oh,soooo nostalgic.I say it every time we go down, "Why won't they bring back the Skyway?"

The original Journey into the Imagination, DreamFlights (not sure if that's what it's called, it used to be where the Buzz ride is now-although I wouldn't give up the Buzz for anything!), Skycabs, and Wonders of Life (Cranium Command) and COP because I don't go the times of the years these two are open! :guilty: I also miss the little theater on Main Street that played black and white Mickey cartoons.

This is the ride I was thinking about when I said DreamFlights earlier. What a great ride this was!

Mr. Toad - It's funny, I never read or even knew the story but you didn't have to! To me it was always new and fun.

Food Rocks - "Veggie veggie fruit fruit!". I only really loved and missed this one after they took it away. And then I was like :(

SkyWay - What a stupid stupi STUPID ride to get rid of! You want "magic" THAT was a magic ride. So simple and pretty.

The Hunchback of Notredame, at MGM - this one's demise actually made me angry. It was so different entertaining and old fashoined. We always made a point to catch this one and talked about it more than any other show in Disney.

Someone mentioned the little theater on Main Street that played black and white Mickey cartoons and I totally agree. Although I thought they also played color ones fron the 40's and 50's, if I remember, too.

Illuminations - The current Epcot finaly is not as good as the one they had when we went in '89 and through the '90s.

And do I even need to mention the old Tiki Room?
Does anyone enjoy the new one?
It's painful to sit through.
They even make fun of the old song but guess what?
My kids still leave the show singing the old song!

Tapestry of Nations
Millenium Village
Cranium Command
I miss all those listed so far, but these are the things I miss most. Since 2 were for a temporary Celebration, I listed my favorite closed permenant attraction also.

Just got back early this morning. The Wonders of Life pavilion was open and Cranium Command was still there. Buzzy lives! :)

The area where they critique your sports abilities was the only thing that was closed in the Wonders of Life.

I long for the original Tiki Birds! Bring them back PLEEEZ. The new one is so outdated, it's certainly not timeless. The original show has so much meaning since it was one of the first audio-animatronic shows.

My second pick for this queston would be The Superstar Theatre at MGM. What a fun show - it was different every time and I enjoyed watching folks' reactions.

PamNC

The Dragon Coaster at Beastly Kingdom in the Animal Kingdom. (non-existant because it was never built.)
I wish they had the original Tiki Birds.

Someone already took mine - I remember posting this on another thread.

Two words: River Country. This past summer when we'd take the boat from FW to MK we'd see RC (only a true DisBoard member can understand that last sentence!) just sitting there. It looked really eerie. 20K looked eerie too when that little lagoon was just hangin' out. I was scared of that when I was little because I thought the water would leak through and I'd drown. Ha! :rotfl: Now I regret not going on it!

Food Rocks was pretty good, too.

However, I am glad that they have SpectroMagic. I love love love that parade, it's one of my earliest WDW memories and it will always be my favorite parade, even if the little guys on the spinny balls still scare me! :earseek: C'mon, admit it: The hair and the voices! Yikes!
