Favorite Non-Disney DVC vacation?

What is your favorite non-Disney DVC trip you have taken? Mine would be Hawaii at Mauni Lani Bay.

Ours would be Hawaii as well, but at the (now closed and much-lamented) Kapalua Bay Hotel in Maui. We had a wonderful time there.

Difficult one to answer. I really enjoyed our DVC trade to the Four Seasons in Portugal. We also did a great two night trade to Vienna through DVC, and that was really nice.

We almost traded to Hawaii for our honeymoon, but changed it because of the long flights, and now I'm regretting it a bit. But, I'm hoping that our trade to Aruba will be a new favourite.

I'll report back in November, but we got a trade to the Royal Carribean in Cancun for our first anniversary. They have us a two bedroom for the points of a one bedroom (144), so we're hoping friends will go with us!

I've been to both the Mauni Lani and the Kapalua Bay----loved them both.
Not on points, though, as I'm not yet a DVC member.

I was sad to hear the plans to close the Kapalua Bay but I heard they were going to be timeshares! Certainly a great location to trade points!

There are not necessarily DVC options, but my current list would be:

1. Alaska, combining a cruise and some land-tour time
2. Skiing at Aspen/Snowmass, Breckenridge (both of which we love), or Steamboat, which we've never visited.
3. Touring National Parks out west -- visiting some old favorites and some we haven't been to

ETA: The above would be favs for future trips. Best single trip done to date would probably be a 5-week western park swing many years ago.
