I've never been to New England or the northeast. So I'll base my decision on all the nice DISers I know there and vote for Massachusetts.

Although I love all of the New England states...Downeast Maine, Cape Cod, Mass, Newport RI, Lake Winnepesauke New Hampshire, leaf peeping in Vermont...I wouldn't want to live anywhere else!

I have to go with New Hampshire. I first visited there about 9 years ago when my job required a lot of travel, and was very impressed. The people I met were friendly, the scenery was great, the small towns have a lot of character ...

and you just gotta love a state motto like "Live free or die."

I have lived in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and have family in Vermont. I'd take New Hampshire any day.

I was born in Methuen, MA. But, I grew up in New Hampshire. I pick New Hampshire, especially the White Mountains.

I chose Massachusetts. I live here, and I love the Cape, Boston, Plymouth, the north shore coastline, etc...

NH. It's just about perfect (except WDW is thousands of miles away ) I really like it here. And I intend to live here for a very long time. What's not to love? 4 seasons, the White Mountains, beaches, more snow than the southern New England states, moose, "Live Free or Die", no sales tax. I could go on and on. I like it here.

New Hampshire of course! I grew up in Massachusetts and its ok but I was so close to the NH border could walk to it just about. I love Maine too, but the sales tax is horrible, and Vermont is BEAUTIFUL, but too far from the ocean so its NH for me.
