What are your favorite MUST HAVE snacks at DL and CA? Or DD?
I haven't been in so long and I don't want to miss out on something.

Thanks!

The Bengal BBQ has beef and chicken skewers right in front of the Indiana Jones that are soo good! We get one every time we go to Disneyland.
The gumbo bread bowl by Pirates of the Carribean is also really good. Had that for the first time last trip and can't wait to try it again.

As far as little snacks, I'd have to say the classic churros and the jalepeno cheese filled pretzels are always good! The cheese isn't spicy.

There's so much good food there it's hard to narrow it down! :)

Their unpackaged fruit is almost always wonderful. You pay a premium, but yum! We actually only eat organic at home (at least with the high risk ones...apples, strawberries, grapes...), but the taste is generally so worth it, that we eat those very same items at Disneyland even though they are conventionally grown.

Other than that...we don't eat many disney sold snacks. We're vegetarian (so no marshmallow based treats like tigger tails) plus there are other ingredient issues. If only the Mickey Bars would dump the corn syrup, my family could enjoy them! They taste so good...

However, DTD has Haagen Dasz, and their simple ice creams are SO good. Their chocolate ice cream is scrumptious, and combined with a Peet's espresso iced latte, yum! (actually, if I were to copy what Tully's does in summertime, and just order a shot of espresso then pour it over a scoop in a cup, mmmmmmmmm)

Forgive my ignorance, but why can't vegetarians have marshmallows?
ETA: Oh, oops, a quick visit to Wikipedia answered my question!

OP, the dark chocolate-dipped marshmallows at Pooh's Corner are my favorite, especially when I want something sweet. They aren't nearly as dangerous as some of the other treats as big as my head lol.

I always get a couple of the caramel apples from the candy shop down in Pooh's corner. Yummy!

It's a total bummer. But even if we bought the expensive ones a place out in NYC has started to make (with carageenan, which is derived from seaweed, instead of gelatin), it's still a no-go for the kidlet and hubby, who cannot have corn syrup. Gelatin and corn syrup = marshmallows, typically...sigh. I keep thinking about writing to the NYC place and asking them to experiment with other sweet syrups which are fine with my guys...:upsidedow

But none of that has to do with this thread!

We love the vegetarian gumbo and chili...gumbo at Royal Street Veranda, chili at Harbour Galley and Pacific Wharf Cafe. Last trip I got the chili in a cup and took the breadbowl to go, that was yummy! No stuffing ourselves with the bread, no throwing it away, either. Could snack on it when we wanted to, and the cup of chili was deelish.

Quick off topic - I heard the vegan marshmallow girls in NY were trying out recipes for organic right now, so maybe soon.

As for treats, we love the Mickey Mouse pretzels, churros, and the swirl soft serve in DCA.

I second the skewers - they have veggie and bacon wrapped asparagus too - so yummy. In DCA, love the Broccoli Cheese soup at Pacific Wharf.

The expensive pineapple spears sold in the cart on Main Street (by the Market House) are SO delicious and juicy that I would probably pay twice what they cost for one of them (though I would not be happy about it). Plus, they are a good size as well - not a wimpy little sprig that poses as a spear. I cannot stress enough how refreshing these spears are on a hot day. Now, of course, they happen to be sitting, happily embedded in ice, right next to the hideously priced juice bottles, but ignore the $4.00 juice bottles and grab a spear. You will not be disappointed. Fruit is one thing that DLR tends to do very well, whether it be at the carts or in the restaurants. The fruit I have had at DLR - melon, berries, pineapple - is among some of the freshest and tastiest I have had.

Now, on the junky side of things....I do love a good, messy, ooey gooey, generously-sized cinnamon roll, and that hunger can be fulfilled at Blue Ribbon Bakery. That and a blended mocha and I am good to go!

This is sort of a snack/sort of a beverage, but we just tried this great, slushy concoction called a Tropicool, which is sold at Rita's in DCA. The strawberry Tropicool was yummy. Absolutely delightful on warm day (if you just cannot make it over to where the much healthier pineapple spears are located;))

During holiday time, I am in love with the hefty gingerbread-men-with-mouse-ears cookies. So good. I also tried the shortbread Christmas tree and Snowmen cookies, but those gingerbread men with ears are soft, chewy and substantial.

For a sort of dessert/snack idea, at Carnation Cafe they serve the ample Matterhorn Sundae as well as a scrumptious piece of apple pie a la mode, which, in addition to vanilla ice cream, also comes with lots of whipped cream and strawberries.

For a nice protein snack, Bengal BBQ in Adventureland sells chicken, beef or veggie skewers.

Heck, now I have made myself hungry!

Our fav was dole whips (had to have one every day at least once a day) LOL, the pickles and the fudge at the candy store OMG was that good!!! yummm

The popcorn! I don't know what they do to make it so good but I love it! Also love the Dole Whips.

I had a corn dog last week and it was by far the best corn dog I have ever eaten. I highly recommend them! I got mine from a cart at the end of Main Street, between the Baby Center and the Plaza Inn.

I love the Corn Dogs too.

and mickey ice cream bars (it seemed like an evil conspiracy when on our trip in June my late afternoon craving for one seemed to hit when the vendors were sold out. By the fourth day i was ordering one right after breakfast:rolleyes1)

our next trip i'm going to be trying all the holiday specialities and coming up with a new list of snacks to covet all year long.

Not really a snack, but I can't go to DL without having a monte cristo sandwich!
Also, popcorn, churros, mickey bars, mickey pancakes for breakfast, and so many other things. lol.
We dont really eat 'meals' at DL, we tend to snack a LOT! lol

In DL - the pickles, yummy!

In DTD - the kettlecorn, we always end up with 2 of the big bags. I can't pay for the popcorn in DL very often, too little of a helping for a big price. :(

In DCA - not really a snack, more of a meal, but I love the everything fries at Taste Pilots. Fries, chili, tomato, onion, cheese and sour cream - now I really want some.

Mostly because its free, but a free, warm tortilla is always delicious.

Also, the edamame from Lucky Fortune Cookery was awesome!

The popcorn! I don't know what they do to make it so good but I love it! Also love the Dole Whips.

You know, the popcorn at WDW is just delicious, too. Do you think it is because they buy a premium popcorn or something?
