There's a variety of threads around favorite restaurants, but what's the most memorable/favorite meal you've had at Disney before?

Chinois Salad in Downtown Disney - hands down, the best! Especially when complete with the delicious bread rolls which have cheese on top (sort of). I was delighted to discover recently they still do both - that's my first meal in America sorted in 18 days time! :D Also, I love the pasta meal with the marinara sauce (which my friend HATES with a passion). Those two are my absolute favourites. My mouth is watering in anticipation already!

Last visit in 09. First time as a father. Yak and Yeti for the amazing food and decor and akershus, for the decor and buffet, also it may have something to do with CM interaction, I had some really interesting conversations with the waiter staff were the 2 that still stand out. My trip next week only includes Akershus. As I went out of my way to find new places. Akershus was a replacement adr. Only reason I have kept it is for the princesses. My DD14 really made it clear that the characters werent important until I booked this. she has softened a bit.

this trip will include BOG/50's PT/Akershus/Ohana/WCC and Tusker House. Its a mix of what i really wanted to try, a couple of places my kid will hopefully have fun at and 2 for sentimental reasons.

Best meal for us was at Flying Fish cafe. Our server was great, the atmosphere was great and the food was amazing! I had some sort of risotto with sea scallops on it. Yummmyy!

DW is right there with you, their scallops and risotto is easily one of the best meals she says she's ever had.

1st - Victoria & Albert.
2nd - the night we found a pearl in an oyster at BlueZoo.
3rd - nachos and cold beer at ESPN…a few hours before dinner at BlueZoo.

The ribeye steak I had at Yachtsman. Seriously the best piece of beef I have ever had. I am from Idaho and we are meat and potato people so this is a huge endorsement.

It's jiko for me with the most amazing soup (carrot) and fish (Piri Piri snapper) I've ever had. Followed closely by scallops with artichokes at flying fish

Wow, great question! We have had many wonderful meals. I would have to put Victoria and Alberts (Chef's Table) as number one. Everything we had was AMAZING! We went back a couple of years later and ate in the dining room, and it was great, but nothing beats the chef's table IMHO. A close second, as someone else mentioned, for us is the Yachtsman's Steakhouse.

Definitely our 30th anniversary dinner at Artist Point. Complimentary champagne, appetizer, personalized menus, and a very expensive custom cake. The service, atmosphere, food all were perfect.

I remember one meal from way back in the 90s -DH & I ate at San Angel Inn. Great atmosphere, strong margaritas, and out of this world creme brûlée!

Lobster corn dogs and Narragansett Lobster with asparagus at Fulton's. Everything about the meal....the food, the drinks, the service, and the ambiance were all great. It was, collectively, my family's favorite meal; all five of us were pleased.

La hacienda de San Angel. This January, had the Queso Fundido as and appetizer and the Costillas en salsa de Chile (Braised short ribs, served with potato puree and chile de arbol sauce). It was awesome.

Also the fish wrapped in potato at Flying Fish. Excellent!

My top-3/4 meals at Disney World (so far)

1. EVERYTHING - Chef's Table at Victoria Albert's
2. Idaho Potato-Wrapped Red Snapper - Flying Fish
3. Plat de cotes de foeuf au Cabernet (Beef Short Ribs) - Chefs de France
4. Prime Rib-Eye Steak - Yachtsman

The experience and meal at the chef's table was by far the best meal I have ever had in a restaurant. The only other two experiences I can compare to it were French Laundry in Napa Valley and Bottega, also in Napa Valley. Everything was cooked to perfection from starters, to the entrees to the salads. Perfect in every way.

Cape May Buffet....I was in a food coma for 3 days.
Biergarten Buffet...same as above.

But best meal without buffet was the Caribbean Pasta dish at Shutters. Almost like a semi-sweet/spicy jambalaya. Surprised the heck out of me.

I had a fantastic fish dish at Kona - Cobia with black rice and swiss chard. It was beyond tasty.

I also have a love of the salad portion of the Cape May dinner buffet. I would be good with a Yuengling, the cheese board, and some shrimp cocktail...

V&A is our most memorable meal, and I doubt it would be replaced.

This trip, we ate at:

COUNTER SERVICE/SNACKS:
- Cosmic Rays
- Sleepy Hollow (x2): DD loved her waffles
- Confectionary (desserts)
- Pinnochio Village Haus (x2)
- BOG lunch
- Pecos Bills (snack and CS)
- Les Halles (dessert, not a meal)
- Kringla Bakeri og Kafe (snacks)
- Catina de San Angel (several times): this was my brother's favorite CS, and we also liked the nachos and tacos de barbacoa. It's not like eating food Mexican back home in TX, but better than most fast food Mexican (and sadly better than any of the sit down Mexican I've had in WNY or in the Midwest)
- Karamell Kuche (snacks)
- Joy of Tea (Tipsy Ducks)
- Kabuki Cafe (KakiGori)
- Katsura Grill (green tea cheesecake)
- Refreshment Port (cronut)
- Wolfgang Puck Express (x2)
- Earl of Sandwich: DH LOVED his Hawaiian BBQ sandwich!
- Yak & Yeti CS
- Rosie's All American: I think the worst CS of the trip. Nothing that made us sick or anything, just meh food
- Catalina Eddie's: see previous

TABLE SERVICE:
- Tusker House (brunch)
- Boma (dinner): my brother's favorite TS of the trip
- 'Ohana (dinner): my favorite meal (we all liked it a lot; DB was raving about the potstickers). All of the food, from the salad to the side dishes to the meats was wonderful. We also got to watch Wishes from our table.
- Whispering Canyon Cafe (dinner): probably the most memorable meal as far as experience, since our waiter was awesome and hilarious
- Sanaa (dinner): watching the animals from our window-side table, and then from the deck, was pretty neat. (The bread service was also really good.)
- Hoop Dee Doo (8:30 cat 1): again, awesome experience
- Via Napoli (lunch): arancini and pizza were both excellent. Not the best pizza we've ever had, but very, very good (probably top 5)
- Biergarten (my parents and brother ate lunch there and loved it)
- Akershus (dinner): probably my least favorite TS of the trip, but not bad
- CRT (pre-park opening breakfast): fun to eat in the castle, and to take pics without crowds, but the food wasn't amazing
- BOG (dinner): we liked this meal more than we thought we would. Idk what the dip for the pommel frites was, but I could've eaten it with a spoon (the pommel frites themselves were also amazing)
- Kona Cafe (breakfast): the tonga toast was good, and DH wants to try to replicate it, but not out of this world. The rest of the food (eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, pancakes, french toast) was pretty standard.

Our reservation is in two weeks! So excited. We've done the queen victoria room twice, but this is our first chef's table. I think I squealed when the ADR actually popped up this trip.
