On our 2008 trip, the skipper broke routine to ask a person in a shocked voice: "Are you...actually...on a CELL PHONE? You. are. on. THE world famous...JUNGLE CRUISE...and YOU ARE.ON. A.CELL. PHONE???"

Then he began dramatic sobbing. The person making the cell phone call didn't seem to be able to understand English, so it was wasted on her, but we were laughing so hard, I just about peed myself.

Although in January when we went to WDW we got a skipper who kept quoting the Sassy Gay Friend videos from YouTube. I don't know how many people here are familiar with them... you might have to look one up to understand...

Of course, the younger crowd (there were a few teen girls on the boat ride) found it hilarious, and I could not believe what I was hearing! Not that it wasn't funny, I did enjoy it, but I can't believe he was allowed to quote Sassy Gay Friend on a Disney ride!

My mom asked if he could get in trouble for that. I remain unsure.

In August, we were in line for JC when over the PA system a worker goes "Marco!" Everbody in line responds "polo!" Then the worker says again "MARCO!" and everybody responds "POLO!" Then she says "Guys stop! I need Marco to come to my office!" (or something like that....) Left us laughing the rest of the trip!

I always thought I'd love to work at Haunted Mansion but I think now I'd waaaaaaaaaay rather be a skipper at Jungle Cruise!!! I laugh like an idiot on it even if I'm the only one.

I went on JC twice on my last trip, the first trip was lame, the guy just wasn't delivering the lines in any way that was funny. The second time our skipper was fabulous! Dead pan and the best quote she gave was right around the savannah scene with the lions and whatnot. There was a duck in the water (typical) and it was something along the lines of "..folks you're in luck today, not only do you get to see lions and zebras, you also get to see the incredibly rare Africian man eating duck"

As we were getting off the skipper says " Here's a joke for all you mind-readers."

This is my favorite ride! Have to ride it at least twice a day when we are at MK.
