Will you share what you like to do there besides rides, shows, parades, fireworks, eating and character meets? In other words, what do you enjoy that requires neither FP+ nor ADR? Thanks!

Besides just about everything?

We used to like to wander through the rose garden in front of Castle and relax at the abandoned boat dock. Until they bulldozed the rose garden.

We like to sit on a bench and people watch. We'll play "Theme Park Bingo", but the adult version. We'll look for things like: selfie stick, guest taking eight selfies in a row, guest taking eight selfies with duck lips, child on a leash, child driving grandma's scooter, child on leash attached to scooter, toupee, buttcrack showing, big ice cream stain on shirt, guest taking video with ipad, guest inappropriately dressed-yoga pants, guest inappropriately dressed-no bra, guest inappropriately dressed-shirt too small, guest texting and walking into someone, guest screaming at rest of family, guest angry because they don't have an ADR, guest angry because all those people who paid for Fastpass are getting on the ride before him, "where's Harry Potter", guest pretending not to know what "NO" means, family walking five across clogging a walkway, family standing in middle of walkway looking at map, guest pushing way through crowd with stroller, guest changing diaper not in restroom, guest who gets to front of line and doesn't know how many are in their party, guest who sits down in middle of row, guest who steps on that guest's feet, guest passed out on bench, passed out on curb, passed out on ground, squirrel eating food out of stroller, sea gull stealing food, guest taking flash photo on ride, guest standing up on ride, guest putting hand on water, CM who hates their job.

When DS was younger we spent hours doing the Sorcerers of Magic Kingdom game.

We plan on doing the Pirates and Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom games when we are there in a week. They sound like fun and they are free!

It's not exactly at MK, but we love to ride the monorail all the way through the loop. It's really fun to see everything from an aerial view, and if you take it after Epcot closes, you can see the entire park when it's all shutdown, which is kind of interesting and creepy. I wrote more about it on my blog, which is in my signature if you wanna look.

Sitting in the rocking chairs in Frontierland, the ones on the elevated wooden walkway, watching the great egret beg for food and all the people that feed it popcorn.

We like to look for Hidden Mickey's. We also like to read the name on the windows as we walk down Main Street (the names are of people involved with Disney, such as builders / designers /imagineers). I want to make time on our next trip to find / listen to the Barber Shop Quartet that sings on Main Street. Just taking train around park a couple of times before we leave MK :-)

These are nice ideas. Thanks. I always intend to slow down and notice details, but never do it. That's going to change next time, in part because I'm tiring of some of the attractions.

I personally like to check out all the windows on Main Street - lower and upper. Plus Tom Sawyers Island - a nice place to get away from the crowds at MK.

Also I enjoy sitting in Cosmic Rays relaxing with a diet coke and watching Sonny Eclipse. And I enjoying wandering Storybook Circus and New Fantasyland. It seems like I see new details I missed every time I go in that area.

And I like to Pin Trade with Cast Members which reminds me I need to start looking for Booster Packs of pins to restock my pin trading pouch.

Last trip I loved just casually strolling around fantasyland, looking at all the happy/interesting people, I also bumped into a few character's on their way to their M&G while strolling.

Agree with PP'S.. Just taking your time, checking out all the little details you don't really notice as you're rushing to a ride! Also, if you get to walk through the Castle! It's pretty neat :) And of course my fave.. Walking through all the shops!! I don't really ever buy anything there, but there's just something about a MK shop that's better than most :)

It's not free, but I think it's still just $1. We always take a few minutes to hit the targets at the Shooting Gallery in Frontierland.
The Main St vehicles are a fun way to see Main St.

That's a great idea. Do they take Magicbands or cash/coins only? We were thinking of doing it, but got busy on other rides and never made it back. With the Magicbands, most of us had no cash at all.

Here he is! I just noticed that the second picture isn't egrets, it's ibis's.

I take a spiralbound notebook and a pen into the parks and jot down a journal entry while taking bench breaks. Makes a great souvenir.

These are all great ideas. Would love to know a good trail to follow for a leisurely half-hour walk (Dole Whip float in hand) just to take in details, flowers, birds. My interest in the rides is diminishing. Still like Tiki Birds and a few others, though. Age changes us in surprising ways. I still chase around, but it's unfulfilling.
