Favorite drink container?

We will be on the Northern Europe cruise this summer with extra days before and after the cruise (before-Amsterdam and after-Copenhagen). I'd like to bring a drink container that would work on the cruise, but could also be carried as we tour before and after. I was leaning towards a Tervis tumbler, but now I'm re thinking that. Any suggestions? If it is allowed, I'd love to see a picture/link to what you are describing.

Thanks!

based on recommendations on boards - i got a tervis for my 1st disney cruise a couple of years ago. i was not a fan. maybe i bought the wrong one but i didn't like it because it wasn't spill proof.I realized after buying/using it that it would have been better to have something spill proof. I did buy a corkcicle recently. and also - not spill/leak proof. Finally i bought a klean Kanteen and really like it -keeps drinks warm/cold for a long time and doesn't spill.

There was a thread not too long ago. I pointed out then and will again now according to the Tervis FAQs they often do not play nice with sunscreens because of the chemicals. The other instance is that the regular tervis lids do not typically seal as well against spills. I however have a metal SIGG bottle.Something kinda like this. But I got mine on a super sale from woot.com . It has literally lasted for years and traveled across the globe. Some dents and dings for sure, but works great. Mine fits into my backpack side pocket and I use a caribiner to clip it in place. In fact just this weekend I went hiking in the Georgia mountains and stopped by a stream I ran a stick through the hole in the lid and set it in the cold mountain water. Within minutes it was nice and cold.

Granted, I know that people also like to use bottles that collapse so they can save save (random example here.)

But neither of those examples really don't work well for shipboard and excursions. You need a wide mouth bottle in order to pour our beverage of choice into the container easily (remember you shouldn't be using your own drink cup at the stations, instead transferring from a Disney provided cup). So I bring both. A tervis or yeti for the ship, and my sigg for the shore.

Our whole family has Hydroflask water bottles. We have a few Klean Kanteens (the insulated kind), but I find they dent more. We use those when we go ANYWHERE. They really do keep ice water cold for hours. Those I can toss in a backpack/totebag/beach bag and they NEVER leak.

For on-board "walking around with a soda" I bought a Tervis a few years ago. It was okay. The one I bought didn't have a straw lid, which I prefer.

For an upcoming trip, I think I'm going to buy the Hydroflask tumber with straw lid for myself. (DH hates straws.) I'll use that on board for walking around with a soda, but it won't go into my bag for excursions. For that I'll stick to my sealable water bottle.

On-board, I like my Tervis. For excursions, I prefer a Contigo. Leakproof and keeps drinks either cold or hot.

I get so may free Nalgene wide-mouth type of water bottles throughout the year that I just bring one of them a long for my cruise and usually just toss it afterwards so I don't have to pack it way. They are good enough to take on excursions and walk around the ship.

I've used a Contigo water bottle for years. It seals completely and never leaks. They have insulated "mugs" that are leak-proof as well, that I use for hot drinks.

Check out SIC. They have water bottles that are spill proof and keep your beverages hot or cold. Just checked and it looks like they have come up with some new smaller bottles as well.

Yeti tumblers or bottles. I also love my Swell bottle.

Once sunscreen gets on a Tervis, yikes. It's just gross.

We use the Waves bottles and their new tote bags for excursions. If you sign up for their emails, they frequently send out coupons. They offer bundles of 2-3 of the items at a discounted price and you can use the coupons on these bundles. We have found that they work as good as a YETI at keeping liquids cold and they are much cheaper.

I just received an email from Waves They are having a spring break sale and the entire website is 50% off. This includes the bundles. The coupon code is: SB50

I second Contigo. I put mine through some pretty extreme conditions. I have a insulated stainless steal version, and I have put ice and water inside, and left it out in over 100F for an entire day, and come back to still have ice. It was next to a thermos brand stainless steal, the Thermos still had cold water, but no ice. Contigo insulated bottles do hot/cold and don't leak. I have to use mine in a situation where leaking is not an option. Never a drop, ever.

What happens when suncreen gets on a Tervis cup? I have one I bought on board DCL a few years ago and have never really used but planned to bring it along next month.
