Favorite Downtown Disney Restaurant

Downtown Disney has some of the best counter service in all of the resort. I LOVE Earl Of Sandwich, I adore going to Cookes of Dublin for fish and chips and siting on the patio where I can buy myself a pint to go with it in nice weather. I think if you are on the dinning plan you make out like a bandit at Wolfgang Pucks Express. You can often get Creme Brulee in there for your dessert and I have not had a bad entree yet. Although I also enjoy WP Cafe for sit down service.

I do NOT recommend rain forest cafe because the prices are high and so is the noise level. It is still just the same food as Chillis or Applebees. Although I do adore their southwestern egg rolls. If I am by myself I will go in for just that.

Also just a note for beer enthusiasts the deep fried candy bar goes really really well with a pint of boddingtons. OMG is that a good combo. It makes me happy. I was worried the first time I tried it but the nuttiness blends in so wonderfully.

Many people were saying Earl of Sandwich and I have to agree that they have great sandwiches and probably one of the best deals as far as prices. The other place I would suggest is Rain Forest Cafe because it sounds like you might be traveling with younger children. RFC has a really cool atmosphere that kids like. But where ever you eat, don't order dessert! Go to Ghiradelli's for dessert and indulge in some GREAT ice cream! I can't go to DTD without stopping there for some ice cream.

We have only eaten at Fulton's and Wolfgang Puck (we don't like Rainforest Cafe or Planet Hollywood in Chicago or Vegas so we don't even bother trying it in Florida). Our favorite by far is Fulton's--but it is very expensive (although lunch is cheaper).

We're locals and the Pleasure Island movie theater is the closest to where we live so we are in Downtown Disney ALL the time for dinner and movies. We love House of Blues I have found a lot of different things I like my two favorites are the Elwood sandwich and the Shrimp Po'Boy but be sure to get the sweet potato fries they are amazing! There is always a delicious mushroom pasta dish.

Another favorite is Raglan Road but they can get busy at night so we go a lot for lunch The Heaven on Earth Ribs are incredible I don't even like ribs very much but these are just as their name says.

Earl of Sandwich is great for breakfast lunch or dinner!

And I love both Wolfgang Puck Expresses so good!!!! And Ghiradelli well what's not to love about chocolate, ice cream, coffee it's all delicious :)

I love Wolfgang Puck Cafe, the interrior is dated but the food is still pretty good.

I love RFC and HoB but wind up eating lunch at Planet Hollywood the most. Somewhat of a tradition to get a club sandwich with a milkshake at PH and then go see a movie at AMC.

RFC is fun for families, but almost always a wait.So you have to plan some shopping time around waiting for the meal.

We like Earl of a Sandwich, Wolfgang Puck Express(not sure if has changed names),Rainforest is OK, but wouldn't go out of my way for it, Cookes and Ragland are great! So many choices!! Can't wait for Oct!!

My favourites by far are Raglan Road and Fultons Crab House.

Fish and Chips at Raglan Road are delicious.

We had our Wedding reception at Fultons, it was awesome :bride:

I always get the steak salad at House of Blues. My new favorite is Raglan Road - especially after 9 p.m. when the Irish band plays.

I agree with everyone here:

Table Service: Raglan Road Is our favorite then House of Blues

Counter Service: Earl of Sandwich then Wolfgang Puck Express

I'm going to hop on the seemingly very popular bandwagon and recommend both Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express.

We ate at both of these places twice on our trip and we loved absolutely everything that we tried. At EoS I'd definitely recommend the All American or the Hawaiin BBQ. SO GOOD! :thumbsup2

Have dining reservations for both planet hollywood and capt jacks, now after seeing this forum am having second thoughts on captn jacks. seem to get alot of mixed reviews on this one, but I really picked here for the view of the lakeside more then anything. We have a 730 res.will have to try earls after such good reviews will add to my list!:surfweb:

Last week we ate at:

Ragland Road - nice, loved the food and atmosphere, but service was slow which was fine with us but if you are in a hurry or tired from a day at the water parks, you may not be happy with that.

Earl of Sandwich - we all liked our sandwiches and the price was nice.

Wolfgang Puck Express - LOVED the food here. It isn't cheap, tho, so I guess it would be a bargain if you were on the dining plan (which we were not).

In the past:

Captain Jack's - food was fine, not stellar by any means, but the view of the water is nice and it does have that whole nautical thing going on. The waitstaff here was fun, too.

Wanted to have dessert at Gharidelli's but tried twice and the place is just a zoo! Luckily there is a stand with Mickey Bars near by!

The story my Dad tells me is that bongos is bad. Dry food and poor service was his experience. Of course on the other hand I have been to RFC on the other side 3 times with varying degrees of quality but the management is always great at RFC.

I enjoyed Bongos for lunch much better then for dinner. The Cuban Sandwich is delicious but at Dinner I found all the meat dry and the prices high for the quality. You can get food from a quick service window and that's not terrible.

We'll be spending a morning / early afternoon at DTD, so I'm looking for a good place to eat lunch there. We have the deluxe DDP and Bongo's menu looked interesting. Now I'm leaning towards Raglan Road though. We'll be eating dinner at Artist Point that evening.
