Favorite Disney Movie not Represented in the Parks?

My vote it for Herbie the Love Bug. I used to own a '59 4-volt bug. Loved that thing. I know that Herbie has been in a parade or two, but he'd make a good ride!

Hey, what about The Apple Dumpling Gang? My dad splits up laughing every time he watches that! You just can't keep a straight face with Tim Conway acting up. I guess they'd be kind hard for an attraction, though.

I would love a ride with Ichabod Crane from the Headless Horseman Disney movie. It would definitely be thrilling.

Not for me! That gave me nightmares for half of my life. Still, at age 32 I will not watch it!

My two favorites:

The Parent Trap = "Get me out of this stinkin fresh air"!

Monsters Inc = I love Boo. I wish I could adopt her and take her home so she could skip around in my house.

They really should have a museum/attraction highlighting the actors and actresses in Disney films like Hayley Mills, Julie Andrews and others. Showing displays about the making of these films.

Roger Rabbit!

The first time I ever went to Disney, in 1994, I went on a rainy cold October day with a hurricane coming. There was no one at the Magic Kingdom. I was walking down through Frontierland, with NO ONE else around except my wife. I look ahead of me and see Roger Rabbit AND Colonial Mickey. I got a picture with both. That was the last time I saw Roger Rabbit.

I'd like to see rides on:

The Rescuers, Lady & the Tramp, The Fox & the Hound, Oliver & Company, and The Lion King (I want an actual RIDE!!!).

I'd love a better Alice & wonderland ride (esp a dark ride). I don't count the tea cups

I have to agree with you on the Oliver & Company, Lion King, and ESPECIALLY Alice in Wonderland ride! I used to be a HUGE Alice in Wonderland fan and all I would do is take pictures of the bushes around the teacups ride that are cut out like the Alice characters...can't ride teacups, makes me nauseas

I think they could make a really fun The Three Caballeros ride in Epot, near Mexico or something. I love that movie.

Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy. I know that it hasn't even opened yet but I would love to see something related to this movie in the parks. Maybe somewhere in Tomorrowland. Been a big fan of the books since high school.

Don't you think they might have Herbie stuff since they are coming out with the Lindsay Lohan remake? I haven't been around Disney when they have a new movie out, do they do things like that?

I loved the herbie movies when I was younger, they were wonderful!

I wonder what the reasoning is for not building a Disney theatre in one of the parks (DTD AMC is first run stuff and doesn't apply) which would play any & all Disney films ever produced. They could charge $1 or so for crowd control, but old favorites which haven't been seen in decades up on the big screen, with all the cinema flare, might be really cool.

The Imagineers could get real creative with that if they chose do so.

What a great thread! Definately Bedknobs & Broomsticks! "Bobbing along, bobbin along, on the bottom of the beautiful, briny sea..." Sorry, got carried away. There is so much they could do with that one - they could work it in to England at Epcot.

Monsters, Inc. - that would be a great addition for MGM. They could do something like a door maze! Thinking of the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids playground, this could be another cool play ground.

Aristocats - such a cute movie - I would love to see the kittens walking around the parks!

There is SOOOO much they could do with the wonderful old movies! And what better way (and inexpensive way for Disney!) to generate new business than to bring back some of the old movies and make a big deal out of them. My girls have grown up watching Bedknobs & Broomsticks, so they know about it and really like it. I'm sure a lot of other kids would too.
