I've got about as many
RCCL cruises as Disney, but Disney is my favorite for service, dinner dining, adult areas with some enforcement, and entertainment. Walking off the ship at CC is no small issue, either, though Coco Cay is a lovely island on RCCL. The reason I also have RCCL cruises is frankly I get a lot of value for my vacation $, more variety of itineraries and schedules, and I can occasionally stay in a suite and stay on a budget that I can handle. Example--a suite last january on the radiance of the seas for the same cost, the same week, as oceanview on disney on a similar western caribbean, with the admitted difference it was 6 nights instead of 7. Or right now 4 nights on
DCL requires the bahamas, while on RCCL on a 4 niter I got key west and cozumel, which in winter have better chances of being warmer weather. Or this thanksgiving week, our D1 balcony on the radiance, again a 6 niter not 7, is $2209 vs. about $6400 on DCL for 7 nights for a comparable Cat. 5 or 6, I forget which I compared it to (given the location, the cat. 5 truly is the most accurate comparison).
I've had great experiences on both and don't feel that I need to bash another cruise line to say I love DCL best. While I give the examples of price values, for example, I do appreciate the Disney touch and that is why we still have another
Disney cruise scheduled, which will be our 5th.
