Going to WDW on the dining plan in Oct.
I have lots of table service restaurants but I am in need of more counter service places. There are only four of us and we will have 40 CS credits
So what are your favorites at the parks and/or hotels?
Here are mine

MK- Caseys & Pecos Bill
DTD- Earls

That is all I have! :confused3 I have been to a few others, but these are all we really liked.

One of our favorites is the Columbia Harbour House at MK. It's tucked away in a corner by the Haunted Mansion, and is often overlooked and less crowded than other places in the MK.

The menu there is a change from the typical burgers and fries--they have fish, chicken, chowder, and salads.

To mention a few:

MK
Columbia Harbour House
Pecos Bill's
Main Street Bakery (some great breakfast items!)

Epcot
Sunshine Seasons Grill in The Land
Kringla Bakeri in Norway

The Studios
Pizza Planet (Honest, not bad for pizza and salad!)

Animal Kingdom
Tusker House

As far as resorts, a boat trip to WL from MK is always relaxing. I found Roaring Forks to have an adequate Caesar salad with chicken. We always stay here but honestly, the resort is a great destination just to check out the atmosphere and relax in the lobby!

I have also read decent reviews about Garparilla Grill at the Grand Floridian, also a lovely resort to scope out.

The Tangierine Cafe at the WS in Epcot has an interesting menu but we've never made it there!

While it isn't the best value, you could grab a CS breakfast at a place or two also.

Lucky you, all that time in WDW! Happy planning... :goodvibes

Here's another vote for Columbia Harbor House in the MK! No matter how crowded the park is, it almost never seems crazy in there, especially if you go upstairs. There is a room that has windows that overlook the pathway from Fantasyland to Liberty Square, we love to sit at one of the tables by the window and many times we've been the only ones in the whole room, even as we watch crowds of people below!

My picks:

MK-Columbia Harbour House-great fish and chix
AK-Love all the counter service, esp: ribs and kids chix at Flame Tree and breadsticks at Pizzafari
MGM-Nothing....Always do Full Service
Epcot-We always snack around the world, but my fave is Fish at Yorkshire County
The best value for your buck would be to leave the parks and head for the hotels where you can get real meals(pot roast, ribs, chix...) at counter service prices, or meal plan credits.
Good eating and have fun.......
we will also be there in October....see ya there.......... :cheer2:

My favorite counter service places--

MK-- Pecos Bill's
Epcot-- Sunshine Seasons
MGM-- Backlot Express, but homestly the choices aren't great
AK-- Flame Tree BBQ

I know about Pepper market but what other hotels have really good counter service?

I looks like we will be going just about the same time as you.
We will be there Oct 6-16, how about you?

MK - Casey's Corner and Pecos Bill
MGM - ABC Commissary
AK - Flame Tree BBQ
EP - Dont remember having CS there. It's always TS
