Favorite Closed Attraction

There are still aerial gondola rides all over the world, although the enclosed type is the most common. You know - at ski resorts and tourist attractions? The one thing about all the Skyway rides is that the gondola wasn't fixed to the cable. It used a mechanism that clamped on so that the ride vehicle could be stopped for loading on a rail, then pushed to the end of the rail where it would clamp onto the cable. The kind I see are where the rider has to sit down quickly because the vehicle is fixed to the cable.
San Diego Zoo has one.

Horizons (I can still smell the oranges)
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
The original Journey Into Imagination

Wasn't Mr Toad's Wild Ride a well-loved attraction?
Never been to Disney World, can't believe they would close such a classic ride. That's almost like eliminated Mickey Mouse. Still running in Disneyland....with a 20 minute wait currently according to my Mouse Wait App.

I was thinking of the Oakland Zoo. I rather wonder about how safe it is - especially with infants/toddlers and the possibility of slipping through the bar. At least feet-dangling inverted roller coasters have a shoulder harness and seatbelt. It also wouldn't surprise me if there are a bunch of shoes that have dropped.

Sure - there are lots of attractions that were closed one place but remain elsewhere. There are Disneyland equivalents still open for several of the rides mentioned closed at WDW. Then there are Disneyland rides that closed down but there are almost exact or close equivalents still operating at WDW, like Country Bear Jamboree or PeopleMover.

As a DL guy, I have my list, like Adventure Through Inner Space, Motor Boat Cruse, Fantasyland Autopia, the Main Street Electrical Parade, and America Sings.

I've been reminiscing today and I remember the old motor boat ride at DL. Loved it as a kid.

It was fun, but there weren't really any user controls like Autopia had. I remember just spinning the steering wheel.

And related to another current thread, how about Midget Autopia?

Don't recall those. . .

But what about the train ride through 'America's Wonderland" and the mule ride?

That was pretty cool.

Im glad the Tiki Birds closed, I never could sit thru a show but always seem to felt bad when I walked out like I was hurting the birds feelings

If you had wings. Oh how I loved that ride. I think it was later re-named Delta Dreamflight or something. If you look on youtube you can see the ride. I loved it as a kid.

Superstar Television Theater at the Studios
Voyage to the Moon which changed to Mission to Mars at Magic Kingdom
Wonders of Life at Epcot

The mule ride was before my time. I think I was barely old enough to have experienced it, but I don't think I ever did. I think there's video of Walt riding a mule.
