We'll be at WDW with my daughter (6), nephew (7), and niece (8) in December. What are your favorite character meals for kids that age? We've already done breakfast at CRT and dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern, both of which were wonderful. I'd like to hear about the others. At this age, the kids aren't really into Pooh, and my DD has never seen Alice in Wonderland (don't know about the others, but I'm guessing not), so those would probably be lower on the list of characters we're interested in.

We did Park Faire when DS was 3 1/2 and he loved it. Alice, the Mad Hatter, Cinderella (special appearance, filling in for Mary Poppins), Snow White, Dopey, Pooh and Eeyore were the characters then. We went for breakfast and it was "standard fare" -- scrambled eggs, mickey waffles, bacon, sausage, hash browns, etc. DS adored it. For our subsequent trips, we've done Chef Mickey's. DS is now 8 and still loves Chef Mickey's the most. Usual cast of characters includes Donald, Goofy, Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale and often a "surprise guest". Last time, it was Max (Goofy's son). I can't recall who it was the other times we went. I don't think we've had a face character make a surprise appearance, though.

The food at Chef Mickey's is very good and the meat has varied from visit to visit. One time, they had a beef dish and the last time, it was a pork roast. They always have chicken fingers, hot dogs, ravioli, macaroni and cheese, pizza for the kids and carved ham and turkey, a fish dish, vegetables and other items.

This upcoming visit, I thought DS might want to try another character meal, but when I asked him, he immediately stated "Chef Mickey's!"

The first one we did was Pooh and Friends when the kids were 5 and 3. On that same trip, we did the Garden Grill at EPCOT for a lunch. (That was my favorite.) Since then, we have also done Chef Mickey's and The Yacht and Beach Club. Both of them were wonderful. I believe though that the food was better at Chef Mickey's and so was the character interaction. That one would be highly recommended. :cool1: :goodvibes

Enjoy

for kids that age, I think chef mickeys is great! They are old enough to get into the character and enjoy the way they act!!
