What are your favorite candies to get when touring the World Showcase?

It's always my job to provide table favors at our family Christmas. I thought it would be fun to fill them with different candies this year since we will be at Disney right before Christmas.

I'm looking for smaller individual wrapped items. I've got 8 of them to make & I thought I would put about 6-8 in each one but I don't want to spend a ton.

Thanks for your help!

In Italy, you can get individually wrapped Baci Chocolates.:thumbsup2

These wouldn't really work for your Christmas favors as they are full chocolate bars, but I love the Cadbury Double Decker bar from England. I spent time in London when I was in high school & became obsessed with these candy bars - seriously, I brought at least 10 of them home with me. The England pavilion at Epcot is the only place I've been able to find them stateside!

ooooh...agree with the pp...I  Baci...not sure where you're from though, but I know it's easy to get where we live, so you might want something a little more unique and hard to find...

Can't wait to hear what others say...I can never say no to good chocolate!:goodvibes

Gummys from Germany...some gummys from Japan too. The stuff from England is overpriced and you can get it at the local grocery stores (Publix)

Curly Wurly from England. They are like the old Marathon bars from back in the 1970's. Love them.

Hi Chew or any of the fruit gummy candy from Japan. Of course there is the traditional Pocky as well.

Pocky is a traditional Japanese snack. It is a cookie stick (kind of like a chopstick in thickness) dipped in chocolate sometimes with almonds as well. There are other flavors too like strawberry but the most common you will see is the chocolate.

We love Pocky from the Japan pavilion. We tend to buy it in bulk on our trips -- even though I can find it at our local Borders. It's just more fun eating some from Epcot!

Our favorite candy from world showcase is the Bounty bar in England. The first time we had it was when our DD brought it back from her trip to Europe. They are really good as long as you like coconut.

I love most of the candies in Japan,my absolute favorite is the mango Hi Chew,in England I'm a fan of the Flake bar.

BTU! Anyone else have any favorites? We're getting ready to leave in a few weeks so I'm making a shopping list.

This is a great idea, but you can find a lot of the candy that they sell in the World online at much better prices, even when ordering from overseas.

I would sample a few things you think look good, note the name and pricing at the stores, and then use the magic of 3G, if you have it, while in line for a ride to research it for pricing. If not better pricing, buy it at the World then.

Money saved is more money you can save for next year's trip! But I recommend going to the little store in DTD- next to the kitchen supply store. You can always find really cute ornaments (I got some that looked like Christmas lights but were snowglobes with Mickey and other characters in them) for usually under $5.00. You can get cute little items like that there that you could personalize with a puffy pen or such.

I got rubber Donald Ducks for tub toys for my nieces and nephews there for $1.00 each. Still have them 4 years later!

BUT....you can't go wrong with ANY chocolate in Germany! And the Pocky stix are great- not super sweet but a fun treat!

Thanks for the suggestion. We're going the week before Christmas so we would probably be cutting it too close to order online. Also, we don't have 3G. I only want a few pieces from each country so I'm not sure if it would be worth it once you include shipping costs.
