growing up I loved the BradyBunch. My favorite episodes were the two parters. I remember anxiously waiting with friends about whether Bobby and Cindy would be found and what would happen with the Tiki. Also do you remember the old songs on Nick at Night (I think) about these episodes?

My favorite is when they haunt their own house.

I think I liked when Jan got a pretend boyfriend Something Glass:rotfl: Also when Davy Jones was on and Marcia was president of his fan club:lmao:

Loved them all....and the Partridge Family!

My favorite Brady Episode was the Davy Jones one also. But I do remember the one when they put the pay phone in their house and my dad joked about how he might try that with my sister and me (didn't happen though).

As the middle of three daughters, gotta mention the one with Jan's secret admirer, but really I'm all about the Davy Jones episode.

I loved the Hawaii one. I hated it the first time, but it grew on me each time I saw it in reruns.

one of the early ones when they built a house of cards to see who got the grocery store sticker books

when they all went camping

and when the haunted their own house!

does it make me old that I saw these on first run!

The ghost town episodes.

Greg and Bobby locked in Sam's meat locker.

Greg's stealing the rival schools mascot.

The trip on the "Broken Down Barnacle Boat"

The hoedown episode

The story of Plymoth Rock

Jan allergic to Tiger's flea powder

The first episode-the wedding episode

The space/Martian episode, and the one where the washing machine overflows. And the one where they get locked in Sam's freezer!

My favorite episode is when Peter's voice is changing and they sing...

When it's time to change, you've got to rearrange
who you are into what you're gonna be.
Sha na na na, na na na na na, sha na na na na

Now it's stuck in my head... Sha na na na....:rockband:

This one! The song comes into my head every time an adolescent boy's voice cracks.

And of course Davy Jones. Classic.

Thought of a another episode I like...

The school talent show - Greg and Marcia get their parents to participate in a talent show at school. Marcia and Carol sing a duet and Greg and Mike do a poetry reading.

I wish channels would show the Brady Bunch around here. It seems like a lot of kids these days haven't ever seen it, but I think it still is kind of a timeless show for kids. Kind of like how I Love Lucy is a timeless show.

I want the Brady Bunch on DVD, and I'm not one to buy TV shows on DVD. But I'd like to have those and also M*A*S*H. But M*A*S*H is on TV a lot, so no real need to buy them.

I think I may buy the Brady Bunch set for my young nephews for Christmas if I can find them cheap enough. Has anyone seen them around lately for sale?

I'll stop babbling now.

The Partridge Family...

Music is a huge part of our lives, DH is a lead singer in a band, and he and all the kids are also involved in musical theater. We have an enormous CD collection with a huge variety of music and artist. Rush, Yes and Pink Floyd to Tony B. and Frank S., Tori Amos to Celine Dion, Beatles to Broadway, Elton John, Disney, Lady GaGa, cartoon classic... you name it, we got it, including the Brady Bunch Christmas Album! It's horrible, but we like to collect some oddball stuff and this is from our childhood, so it's kind of fun, (or funny, really, it's bad.)

On a recent to trip to Boston, (we had to take our son for medical tests and I was feeling down) my husband asked what I want to listen to, and I chose The Partridge Family. Weird choice, I know, but there was something strangely comforting about it. Of course, every time I drifted off, he have something else playing when I woke up, but then I'd make him put back on. Lol.

I know what you mean about it being comforting.

Funny side note - we traveled down to Albuquerque last weekend for a baseball tournament and all I could think of EVERY time we saw a road sign counting down the miles was, "Point me . . . in the direction of . . Alb u quer queeeeee . . I want to go home ohoh home, I want to go home, home home"

I know what you mean. I still love those songs, too. It probably takes us back to a time when life was a lot simpler...
