A plumber has looked at this (ie: can't find the new part for the broken faucet) and can't tell you what kind of faucet you need?
#1 - Get a new plumber
Faucet holes are pretty much standardized. There are certain specifications for kitchens, bathrooms, tubs and roman tubs. A good plumber should be able to just look at the faucet and tell you what you need.
We just replaced our kitchen sink and our bathroom faucets. In the kitchen, we went from a side sprayer to the sprayer on the spout and just picked that up at Costco, never measured. The soap dispenser fits in the hole where the sprayer used to be.
The plumber told us to get "bathroom faucets" for our sinks and specifically a "roman tub" faucet for our jetted tub. He even told us the brands that were easiest to self-install.
