Fat Tuesdays

Never really hear much about this place. Not much to see, but my wife and I sure enjoyed it. Seems every time we left our hotel to go to City Walk we ended up there first. I was partial to the pina coladas. I tried a pina colada at Margaritaville to compare(for research purposes). While the Margaritaville was a little creamier, the Fat Tuesday one was much better. A little stronger too. Any other Fat Tuesday lovers out there?

Tried it once and won't go back. Two of us went there and each tried something different. Ended up throwing more than half of each drink out.

There's a place near my house called Wet Willies which is pretty much the same concept. However, their drinks are leagues above Fat Tuesdays.

I haven't been there but haven't heard very good reviews overall. I guess it depends on the drink ordered and how it's made.

My ds and I went on a weekend trip by ourselves to Ft Lauderdale in April. We spent the entire weekend drinking the mango frozen drinks on the beach! I noticed Citywalk had a Fat Tuesdays and I told my husband. He said, after we're done at IOA, we are walking over there for a drink!!!

My ds and I went on a weekend trip by ourselves to Ft Lauderdale in April. We spent the entire weekend drinking the mango frozen drinks on the beach! I noticed Citywalk had a Fat Tuesdays and I told my husband. He said, after we're done at IOA, we are walking over there for a drink!!!

Did you know you can purchase their mixes from their website!

LOL! I'm glad at least somebody liked it. I'll have to check out their web site. We have one of those big Margaritta makers at home. The thing sounds like a 747 taking off but it make a great drink.

Not sure about the CityWalk one, but Ft Lauderdale was an indoor bar with outside seating overlooking the beach. You could purchase plastic "to go" drink containers. When you walk up to the bar, there is a huge area filled with frozen drinks - think 7eleven slurpees or icees for adults!! There were probably 20 different flavors. They even asked us if we wanted an extra "shot" of alcohol in our frozen drinks to make it stronger!

Fat Tuesdays made our trip sooo much fun!

The one in CityWalk is just a walk-up liquor stand. Always find it kind of underwhelming, but I think I was spoiled by the much larger indoor version in Daytona Beach (long since gone).

That said, the 190 Octane is probably the best bang for your buck at CityWalk. I have friends who always start with one before venturing into a club.

I want to say $8.50. This are decent sized drinks tho, like a soda at a fast food joint more than a cocktail.
