Or if it's 4 AM and you're headed out to go fishing for the day.

When I was in college in the early 90's, we had a row of restaurants to choose from and all were strictly drunk destinations. Waffle House, Denny's, and White Castle. All of which would lead to severe gastrointestinal distress within 12 hours.

I know. I know. This comes up too often but I have to ask anyway.

I have always been the person who never returns during the hour designated on my FastPass ticket. We always use it at our leisure.

We were dining at Applebees the other day and a couple near us heard us discussing our plans for WDW so they decided they would join our conversation. They had just returned last week from a trip to WDW (and then I noticed they both had on Disney t-shirts). To make a long story short, they said that the parks have, indeed, cracked down on the use of the FastPass and this couple was unable to ever use their FastPass outside the designated time.

So, of course, my questions is... are they REALLY enforcing this now? Do I believe this couple, who I have never met? Ugh! We were really counting on using the FastPass whenever we wanted.

They were probably DIS members who are among the "using FPs after the printed window is breaking the rules crowd" and were hoping you would be "scared straight." After all, if they related first-hand evidence (even if untrue) that the end times were being strictly enforced, you would be less likely to risk showing up late, thus complying with their personal FP rules.

Not so much a troll, but you are "that guy" that walks into a crowd of people having a conversation, and tries to be some sort of source of reason, even though you don't know what is going on.

Did the thread get hi-jacked? Undoubtedly.

Was there another thread based on the identical type of thing ongoing at the same time? Yes.

Did a group of people try to just have a little fun with this one? To be sure.

But the thread wasn't exactly started by a newbie, and nobody is getting their feelings hurt. If you don't like where the conversation is headed, you can head on to the next party.
