I said words I can't share here when I read this. I'm really, really unhappy about this. FP+ completely stressed my family out in January at our WDW trip. Especially me, as the planner. I hated it.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. Just when I thought I had figured out how to plan a trip, now maybe I have to rethink it all?

I wonder if it will be early August or late after the summer crowds die down. Maybe it'll happen after my trip?

I wouldn't worry about it. I would guess that it will be Beta testing, and only folks who want to opt-in will be doing it. It shouldn't affect your plans.

I really hope this is the case! But I suspect you are right, considering all the testing that went on at WDW before FP+ was fully implemented.

We'll be there in August. Have outside tickets and first three nights are at the HOJO before moving to Grand Cali. Very interested to see how this might impact us.

Our last trip to WDW was at the end of January 2013, and our travel agent told us that we could opt-in for the beta testing and sign up for MDE - I don't remember if they had Magic Bands yet, but they had Mickey rings at MK and AK. We did not opt-in.

Hopefully we'll be able to use our exiting Magic Bands .... I've got about a dozen of the from our WDW trips.

Hmmm.... Do you think it'd be too nutty to call the reservations line to ask about this? I already have reservations for late Sept at PPH, and haven't heard anything about this until now. It would add a whole new layer to my obsessive tendencies towards DL.

The disney universe will not suddenly explode if this is even true. While I personally think Fastpass + will eventually come to DLR I to think it would be really odd for Disney to do this during the 60th Aniversary celebrations. Way to much of a distraction, pulling the focus away from the 60th and pulling it towards this hot button topic.

Even if it is true people will learn and adapt. We enjoyed using all aspects of the WDW fastpass + system when we were there and did not encounter a single problem during our holiday.

Yes, life goes on...even with a disease. FP+ is living with a disease. Imagine Pirates going from 15-30 minute waits to 30-45 minute waits because FP is added. Imagine Tower of Terror in the morning when the lines are usually 20 minutes. But now they're 45 minutes because FP has already created a big line there. Imagine a new ride comes along at DL. Want to ride it? Better hope you get up early enough in the morning 60 days prior to grab a FP or you can wait 90 minutes for that ride once you get there. Sounds terrible to me.

WOW... it sounds like this test at DLR has some people freaked out. If they do anything this year, it will a voluntary beta test where you choose to try it. IMHO, paper FP will be here for the foreseeable future.

As I mentioned in the other thread, we don't even know if this is a legitimate article. It lacks a source and any details. Until Disney announces it, I wouldn't take this one person's word for it.

Yup, I don't think anyone should be overly surprised that this system is eventually going to be put into practice at DLR. We'll learn and adapt!

How can they even add a fastpass line to some of the attractions at DLR, btw? There's not that much room to work with at a lot of the attractions that don't already have it.
