From what I understand there is a certain amount of time between when you can get a FP for more than one ride. Is that true? What is the amount of time?

For instance you want to ride ThunderMountain and Splash Mountain with FP. You cannot get the FP at the same time.

Any info regarding this matter would be very helpful.
Thanks.

I'm not sure if the timing of the distribution of Fast Passes is consistent. Last week for instance, the first Fast Pass we got was for The Peter Pan ride at Magic Kingdom. Our window to ride was about an hour later, I think 11:20-12:20. And it said we couldn't get another Fast Pass until 11:25. That day at Magic Kingdom it seemed that we could not get another Fast Pass until 5 minutes after the start time window of our previous Fast Pass. Yet a few days later, at MGM Studios, I got a Fast Pass for the Indiana Jones show and it stated that I could get another Fast Pass about 10 mins after I had gotten that one. So I'm not sure if it is dependent on the number of Fast Passes given out at that time or it varies from attraction to attraction or park to park.

I believe the rules are now you cannot get another fastpass until your window for coming back to first ride has arrived or its been 1 hour since you got first one.

all our FP's were for that one FP only and no others could be obtained until 5/10 minutes into the FP return time... therefore, we'd get a FP first thing to one ride and go ride/do a few non-FP things (in MK, like Fantasyland stuff) -- then pop over to another FP ride and get the FP for that ride when the availablity came up and go back and ride the first FP ride... then do more stuff until the next FP ride came along.... then if we wanted, we'd get another FP before doing that second FP.... and so on... By going into the parks early, we found we really didn't get more than 3 FP's a day -- we didn't need to -- we'd done everything by then... in fact a lot of the FP rides didn't have long waits when we got ot them anyway -- IF it was first thing in the morning... by 11ish though -- waits were heading in the 45-60 minute range.

I've experienced the same as madelyn. The time to get another FP was only 5 or 10 minutes after we picked up FP for Jungle Cruise, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Living with the Land, and maybe Haunted Mansion during our visit to WDW in June 2003.

I have also read posts stating that some rides will allow the user to get another FP even though the printed time on the ticket says much later. For example, the FP ticket picked up at Splash Moutain may say that another FP cannot be obtained until 2:30pm, but the user may be able to go to some (but not all) other rides and actually get a FP before 2:30pm.

What I found was that if you got your first FP early in the morning, you could get another about 15-20 minutes BEFORE the start of your FP window. By the afternoon, it was usually 5-10 minutes into the window for the current FP.

In the AM, I almost always had 2 sets of FPs in my possession :)

Blessings :)

Interesting, I always assumed that the time posted to be able to obtain a FP meant for that same ride. I thougt there was a certain amount of time (shorter time) that you could get a FP for another ride.

You are not mistaken, if the return time is several hours away you will be able to get one after one hour or so. I think the wait between FP's at MK is the longest. At MGM they use FP slightly differently so FP's for shows seem to allow you to get another one rather quickly...
Beware also that FP at MK on Early Entry mornings have return times after 9am, so if you get a FP between 8 and 9 you might be sorry... I blew it one day and got FP's for Peter Pan. It was 8:30 and I didn't really look at the return time clocks, my return time was for 10:30! By then we were long done with Fantasyland and we rode Peter Pan standby with no wait anyway... but I was not able to get a FP for Buzz which is what we should have done, so check those return times!! At MGM the return times on EE morning for RRC was for 8:15 when we got to the ride so we were able to get a muffin off the cart by TOT and a set of FP's for that too- Most people got TOT FP's on the way to RRC so the return time was much later for that (so all those people had to wait in the 45 min stand by line for RRC). So my advice is to walk right by TOT and get a FP for RRC, then get TOT. Hmm, I am a bit off topic- but I was so pleased by my MGM FP luck and wanted to share :teeth:
