You must use at least one, the other two can either be used or simply expire. See the green link in my signature for more info.

After the first three are expired, does everyone in your group have to leave that park to get the 4th one at a different park? Or could I leave Epcot, go to HS for my 4th FP+ and then meet back up with my party in Epcot?

Your fast passes are independent of the group so you can book the 4th one wherever you like including a different park

As of right now you have to be in the park you want the extra FP's for.

Oh okay. But I can go to the other park that I want the 4th FP, get it, and then return to my resort until time for that FP? Trying to figure out logistics!

Thanks so much! My brother and I are doing a short trip in 2 weeks and weren't planning on going to Animal Kingdom. However, now we really want to see Festival of the Lion King now that it has reopened. I booked a fastpass for the 10am show (and of course had to select 2 others), so that we could pop in and pop out and head over to DisneyQuest. We have dinner reservations at Epcot that night and the Malstorme is my brothers favorite, so I wanted to try and grab a fastpass and soon as we entered epcot for that.
