Did the Fastpass policy really 'change'? Or is it a rumor everybody has picked up and now we assume it is true?:confused3 Anybody been recently and experienced a change? It would be a shame if it did, because I didn't know about that when we went last time...:headache:

Okay, because I saw that other forum a few weeks ago, but nobody seems to be saying that actually happened...Thanks.

If it had, I'm very confident these boards would have lit up.

I was there a few weeks ago for a 2-week trip.

Every single day, we would collect FP's in the morning, ride the rides with the shortest Stand-by lines, go back to the hotel for an afternoon break, and then head back in the evening to use our FP's we had gathered in the morning.

Not once did a CM refuse us entry or "warn" us of impending doom in trying to use an "expired" FP.

EVERY single CM said, "Thanks - have a nice ride" - as they gathered my FP's.

SO do I understand this correctly? You can get a fast pass for a ride for say 11:00 am, but not use it and come back at 3pm and use it?

Wow! Then what's the point of the fast pass? I mean if you miss your time you should have to get another or wait like everyone else. Otherwise it's kinda pointless.

We were at the MK and got fast passes for the Princess meet and great (Noon return time) We left the park, took a nap, went to our 4PM BBB appointment at Downtown Disney. From there we went to Park Faire for our 630 ADR, and had dinner. After Dinner, we went back to MK and used the fast passes at about 8 PM. Not only did we not have a problem, the character handler noticed my daughter was dressed as Snow White, and since Snow White wasn't there, asked us if we wanted a special "front of line" access to Mickey and Minnie.

So, no problems using expired Fast Passes here

Since the customer has no control over when the return is that they get, in some cases it could be in the middle of their expensive lunch or dinner. I'm sure Disney would not want you to give up your $35 dinner at H&V so you could ride Toy Story Mania at 5:50pm.

Others have said it all works out by the end of the day, which is when you need to use your FP.

Now you've gone and done it... :rotfl:

Did what? I hope I didn't offend anyone but I always viewed fast pass as a reservation. You wouldn't make a reservation at a restaurant but show up three hours later and expect to get in right away especially ahead of others who were waiting in line already for a table.

I think that is the height of ignorance.

I'm sorry but I respectfully disagree with this. Maybe try this. Go to the 5:50 FP ride, then go to the restaurant at 6pm for your 4:30 reservation and see if you get in when you walk up.

It's not a reservation. It is a space in a virtual line. If you return late, you have simply let others go in front of you.

You must be missing the 4-5 threads a week on this very subject. The logic behind the Disney policy is debated ad nauseum in just about every one.

Thanks for the insightful insult too.

First of all, I never saw any of the other threads regarding this.

Secondly, since I had to ask for clarification on what was being discussed, I would think it would be obvious that I hadn't.

Thirdly, I didn't insult anyone. Though looking back at the post I made, I should have said arrogance, not ignorance. Not sure if that makes you feel any better about it though.

Finally, I am sorry I have a difference of opinion than you but if you have reserved a time to be there and take that time from someone else who could have used it just so you can come back when you want, then that isn't right and it defeats the purpose of the system.

Either way, I'm sorry you thought I insulted you and I am done with this topic.
