We will be in MK the day of the MNSSHP (which we will be going to) can you use the fastpass+ for say Haunted Mansion during the party.

We usually don't need fastpasses during the party but I'm just curious. Just thinking if we don't need to use out fastpasses during the day could we switch the hours to party hours.

You will not need FP+ for rides during the party. Most attendees at the parties are doing the Hallowees-specific stuff, characters, candy, parades, and fireworks, so ride lines are extremely short. Even for HM on last Halloween night, I only waited through like once cycle of the doors opening. The line might seem longer because people playing thn the new graveyard queue, but it goes quick.

yeah I never used fastpass during the party either. Except I would have liked to last year when HM was down for 2 hours and the line was for it was crazy long. We can not do the halloween party without doing HM so we waited in that line.

We have learned many different ways to do the party. We get up late in the afternoon but still early for the party. We get to MK about 12 and do all the rides we can and at night only do halloween party stuff and certain rides (HM and BTMRR) this way we get a good bang for our party buck LOL

If you only buy tixs to MNSSHP and not MK ticket, what time will we be able to enter the park? I think it's been 4 pm in the past. And if you don't buy a park ticket for that day, will you be able to pre-select FP+?

When I went to MVMCP I entered at 4 and was able to get FP+ for rides between 4 and 7 pm, even though I entered on my hard ticket. I rode BTMR twice in an hour :)

If you enter on a hard ticket and have FPs left- you CAN book FPs from 4-7. If you enter on a party ticket you cannot book FP. This is how it worked last year. This year may be different. NO ONE can book FPs past 7pm when the party officially starts.

I booked FP+ last October with only a party ticket. Only between 4pm and 7pm tho.

Really?! Can anyone confirm this? I have heard it is not possible to do this. This would be a GAME changer for us as I'd book a party and arrive at 4pm with 3 FPs! (and skip MK in the morning!)

I had a FP for Jungle cruise and buzz light year. I had a third but I don't remember what it was for. I don't think we used it. We had to juggle the times. They are hour increments but have to fit in between 4-7. Lol, not easy. I think my 1st was 3:30-4:30, 4:45-5:45 for 2nd, and 5:55-6:55 for 3rd. Or something close. We lined up for 7 dwarfs at 5:45ish after JC FP.

Also, I entered at 4pm with my party ticket (actual card) but I had a 2 day park ticket linked to MDE that we used the next and following days. Maybe that made the difference?

Keep in mind that this was still during testing phase. Not every resort was doing magic bands yet. We purchased ticket upon arrival so I didn't make these FPs until the night before. There were enough available for me to play with the times to get the FPs to fit in 4-7. It may be more difficult now since more people are doing MBs & FP+s.

No need for FP's during party hours.

For example, last Oct we walked right onto Splash Mountain and had no one in the 4 logs in front or behind us

Longest wait was for the Haunted Mansion obviously, but it was only about 15 minutes

Went to two MNSSHP last year, entered at 4 pm with 3 FP+ booked between 4 and 7. They were on my MDE linked to my MB but I entered with my printed off party ticket because CMs told us to do it that way. Heard many people did the same thing.

Well then- I think I'm back to the drawing board to rethink this! :)

But as this whole MM+ system is ever changing, who knows what will work in the fall, I think we'll have to wait to see what happens the first few parties.

I have been searching for the answer to this as well. We are planning a 2 night stay before our first DCL vacation :cheer2: One of those nights is a party night, so we are seriously considering a little dose of MK beforehand and since it would be our one and only park, and all we would do is rides and the late parade, we are hoping for FP+ based on the party ticket for 4-7pm. I read that it was possible last year, however, I have also read it was a glitch or loophole that they have closed. :crazy2: I will waiting with baited breath for early party reports! :thumbsup2

And lots more guests are able to do FP+ so finding 3 that fit into that specific 3 hour period might be difficult.

We entered on a party-only ticket last year and used the regular fastpass kiosks. They worked with a Party ticket. However, last year party tickets were not linked to magic bands. You could not use Fastpass+ with a party ticket. However, if you could book fastpass+ for a MNSSHP IF you had a regular park ticket linked to your magic band and MDE.

So, if you had a 2 day base ticket and you went to epcot on day one, hS on day two, and bought a separate party ticket for day 3, you could book 3 fastpasses at one park on 2 days. Didn't matter which park or which day.

If you had no base ticket and only a party ticket, you could book no fastpasses+ But you could use your hard party ticket at the kiosks to book regular fastpasses until 7.

Make sense?

The question might be: will party tickets be linked to our magic bands this year?

So if I have 4 day base ticket for the weekend while staying on site. I plan on using 3 days of parks, just the party the 4th day, and then my last base ticket the day following the party. Would I be able if things stay the same be able to make fastpass+ for the party day from 4-7? Would it make a difference (if able to) if I link my party tickets to the rest of my MDE reservations or leave them off? Just trying to maximize any possibilities I can.
