This will be our first time visiting WDW since they switched to Fastpass+. On top of that, it's a last minute trip, so I only have a week to prepare! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

I read the fastpass plus thread and I noticed that the magic kingdom electrical parade is a tough fastpass to get, and so to my surprise it was available when I did my fastpasses. But now I am wondering, is it worth it? Why is it so hard to get? Would I be better off trying for one of the princesses MG?

We plan to be at the park 2 days and will be there for rope drop and then a rest in the afternoon, and back for nightime fun.

Great that you got MSEP last-minute. :thumbsup2

It's tough to get because there are a very limited number of FPs available. There are tons of great places to watch the parade from, so in that sense it is not a particularly necessary FP. If chosen as a FP, it severely limits the option to get more FPs since that can only be done after the first 3 have been used and MSEP is in the evening obviously. Most M&Gs are not particularly great uses of FP either because they don't generally save much time--Anna/Elsa is the exception.

Interesting. The fastpass for the parade...what is the viewing area like? Would it be a better area/more comfortable than finding a place on our own? To be honest, I think I have only done a parade at night once, so I don't have much knowledge about this. I do remember that there was a little nook with seating around the hub towards adventureland at one time, I think it was during the celebration year, and they would randomly choose families to sit their. If the fastpass were like this, I would think it would be worth it. Sitting on the curb isnt the most comfortable!

I should mention that we are visiting during high(er) season, March 14-21. Most parks are noted as a 7 or above crowd level every day, except for the day I am visiting MK is a Tuesday and only noted as a 5. We are also going to MK on the 14th. Hope to be at rope drop for both days, with a long rest in the afternoon at the hotel and back at night. I always use touring plans as well.

The MSEP viewing area is in the center of Town Square, just inside the park entrance. There is no seating that I know of.
