Fastpass for Soarin or Tower of Terror First?

OK we are going to be at DL resort this next Monday. I am trying to decide whether I should get a fastpass for Soarin or Tower of Terror, and then ride the other ride through the standby line. This will be before the new Soarin movie. I ask, because after being in DCA for EE and opening, we are hopping over to DL at about 9 AM, so I know we can't get a fp for both rides.

Thanks in advance! I hope that makes sense. lol

I just checked for today, and both attractions still have FPs (although ToT seems to be further along with distribution times around 7:00 pm). If you have the Disneyland App, I would monitor FP return times for this week and see if ToT or Soarin' run out first on a consistent basis.

Thank you, that is a good idea! :)

If it is the new Soarin', I believe I'd get that one first. Everyone will be trying to get a FP for that, don't you think?

With it still being the old footage, Id get TOT fastpass. This afternoon, TOT is out of FP, with a 70min wait. Soarin still has FP for early evening and a 55 min. wait.

Yeah that was what I was thinking. Just wasn't sure, with the old Soarin movie leaving a few days later, if that would create a surge in people wanting to see the original before it leaves.

We were at DCA today. The 70 minute posted wait at ToT actually took 38 minutes.

At Soarin, we were glad to have FP. The posted standby wait was 55, but the family in line behind us after the merge point said they had already been in line 1:15. The standby line looked to be barely moving.

I would FP Soarin.

So will you be at DCA from 7 am to 9 am? We were at DCA last Thursday and there was a less than 13 minute wait for ToT the first hour and half of the day, at least. I pulled a FP and rode it twice in a row but I could have rode it 3 times in a row with little wait.

I always grab a FP for Soarin because it's a pretty blah queue, and when it's outdoors, it's right in the sun. Tower of Terror queue is shaded from the Tower itself (as I remember). Plus, the whole line seems to get you prepared for the whole theme of the attraction. My two cents.

Was just about to say this, mind you at the time in question for the OP, neither ride will have any substantial line up.

Oh really! That's good to know. Thank you!

Awesome! Hopefully it will be that way for us. Thanks!

Yes that is true. No much to look at, which makes it seem even longer when you are waiting. Thank you! :)
