I Am very new with fastpass +. How does it work for fantasmic? Is there reserved seating? And do you really need the fast pass for it?

Thanks
Amy

There is no longer reserved seating, which makes the FP+ virtually worthless.

See the link in my signature for my FP+ suggestions.

We opted for this in early November on our visit...we arrived almost an hour early and were shocked at the amount of reserved seating...so much so that we thought if you didn't have the Dinner Package or FP+ the only seating that was left was the furthest two left and right sections...

Seemed like a lot of reserved seating...

Not anymore for FP+.

Thanks. So they have got rid of reserved seating since November ?

Thanks
Amy

Yes. The link I mentioned explains this. With reserved seating it was a good choice of FP+. Without, not so much.

we were there friday night (1/3) and they had reserved seating again. it was crazy because we were walking in at 6 for the 630 show and the limited seating announcement kept repeating. once inside, we realized it was because of the reserved seating. it started to fill up maybe 15 min prior to the show--but it was cold--and it was far from full.

This is the first report I've seen like this in months. Are you sure it was for FP+ holders and not those who purchased the dining package?

yeah. we asked-because a few people inour group had them. ( we met up and werent planning on it). there was a huge dinner reserved section too. it was like a full section plus some-- we didnt see a fp+ sign, but we were being herded to stroller parking-so there could have been one.

maybe because it was the first show of the night and they're testing it more again the 2 that had them were NOT able to select an experience time.

Thanks. I will look for more reports like yours.

It is worth it only if:
1. You want to be able to get in at the last minute and not wait in line
2. You don't mind sitting in the far section

The night we got FP+ for Fantasmic the show completely "sold out" about a half hour before show time and they didn't admit anyone else. We were able to stroll in 10 minutes before show time and we sat in the second row in the farthest aisle - to me this was more than worth it to not wait a long time or stand in line. If you're willing to stand in line and wait, the FP+ is not worth it.

I think I'm going to watch this thread to see what other comments are.

I am hoping to be able to use FP+ for this in June. We have never been to this show because we just would never wait in line that long in order to get a seat.

Looking for other reports like cuteduck's. Can anyone who's been to Fantasmic recently report on their FP+ experience? Was there a reserved section specifically for FP+? (Not to be confused with the dining package.)

Fp+ guests are seated in the left sections of the amphitheater - from Pocahontas to Beast. The tapstiles are near the concession stand/stroller parking area.

Dining Package guests are seated in the two center sections.

Standby guests are seated in the right sections of the amphitheater.

About 5 minutes before showtime, standby guests who are still waiting to enter are allowed to fill in the Fp+ section and the walkways.
