That's fine for us "in the know" but what about the first time visitors? Imagine coming and either having to wait in a huge line or not get to ride at all because all the FP were taken before you even got there.

Why does everyone just assume that the FPs are going to be gone or the lines will be made horribly long? That would be a monumentally stupid thing for Disney to do and they know it.

"Hmmmm, let's see..... Let's make FP available for only those online. And we'll essentially cut out FPs in the parks altogether by doing it. Sounds great!"

I doubt that conversation went anything like that. How do any of you know that the new FP system will not coincide perfectly with the old one? How do you know there will be tons of lines? Hey, an even better question is how does anyone know that this new system will even become a reality?

With the way people are talking about this new system you could swear it is tied to the Myan calendar and that it will be the cause of the destruction of the world on December 21, 2012.

I only would because others would do it, and I'd want to be able to get Fastpasses...I like the system as it is now, no need to change it imo

This is how I voted. If the system existed, I would fall into the "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" camp. But I would strongly favor not having to engage in the process.

I am the same way. Always leary of chanage lol....jk.....I did vote the same way and would use whatever system they implement but do like it the way it is.

I don't know. Because I don't work for Disney. No one knows. I'm just not one of you "extreme thinkers" out there who apparently think this will be the end of the world as we know it. You all keep talking about how bad it will be. How you know it will jack up the system and throw the FP system into total chaos. So tell me, how do you possibly know it will be a bad thing? And remember, keep to your extreme and "all or nothing" thought process here.

Excuse me? Where is this 'extreme thinking' in my post? :confused3

I was just pointing out that, based on the ADR system, it's not unreasonable to presume that Disney may make all FPs available for advanced reservation/purchase.

I never said it would 'jack up the system', nor that it would definitely be 'a bad thing' (although I will say right now that I don't think it will be a good thing - certainly I believe it will be worse than the system already in place).

I said that I agreed with Feralpeg in that it would suck for the locals (as the ADR thing already does) and that I think that making as much as half available beforehand would be too much. I don't see any extremity in there though.
