I think I've convinced my DH that we need to get AP's!! :cool1: However, the compromise is that to save some $$ we'll be staying off-site. We're a family of 6 and unfortunately, WDW doesn't seem to have affordable options (at least what we consider affordable) for our family.

With staying off-site, I know we won't be able to book our FP+ at 60 days, but only at 30 days. I was wondering for those of you who have stayed off-site, how has the FP+ availability been?

I pretty much know that I'm not going to get an A&E, or 7DMT at 30 days (although it would be great if we did!).

We'll be going from April 13 - April 21, after spring break, and according to easywdw, crowds will be in the 5 range. We'll be at MK 3 days, EP 2 1/2 days, HS 1 1/2 days, and AK 1 day.

I'm hoping that we'll be able to get FP+ for Kilimanjaro Safaris, TSMM, Soarin', Test Track, Peter Pan's Flight, Wishes (mainly because the last time we went (1st trip for my kids) we had a horrible viewing spot! :confused3) etc.

I would appreciate any tips or words of advice! :)

I made them at 30 days out mark (which happens to be for Valentines Day) for MK and got Space Mtn, Thunder Mtn and Peter Pan.

We are only going to be there that evening as we leave for a cruise the next day, but was able to get all 3 in a row at 6:15, 7:15 and 8:15.

I dont know what else was out there as those were the 3 we were hoping for....but it was actually quick and easy --- and was my first time using the FP+ system.

Headed down the last week of February. No luck at all with A/E. Our ETwB and 7DMT are a little later than I would like, but other than that I had no trouble arranging our days in each park with the headliner attractions. I was on at midnight each night to get the best selection I could for Soarin', TSMM, etc.

Hello :),

I'm going on days with the same crowd levels and I was able to get 7DMT for all days with no problems. All mountains were available, safari, peter pan too. The only things I saw where not available from your list were Wishes and A&E.

I would recommend doing the booking at 12 am as soon as the widow opens. You have to do it each day by day but since you're only booking one day you are done in just a few minutes:yay:

You should really be OK with the exception of Anna and Elsa. Most stuff will still be available even if you don't get the exact times you want.

I only booked for one day, but it is the week following the Princess Marathon week (Tuesday, 12/24). 7DMT was not available.
I'm bummed.

I had no issues with Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain; those are back-to-back. Our touring plans involve multiple families with competing priorities. We've got a couple folks with requests for Winnie the Pooh and a couple wanting to see Princesses Cinderella & Rapunzel and the rest are going on Buzz Lightyear. All of our timeframes are before 3:30pm and everything made everyone happy.....besides no 7DMT.

Good luck!

generally there will be openings as the previous posters said but some of the more popular rides may be only available in the evenings. I question though how much money you will save compared to booking two adjoining standard rooms at an all stars resort, when you factor in having to rent a minivan, plus tolls, plus gas vs. taking disney transit. If you book on orbitz, and go through ebates to do it to save a bit of money, and use a promo code on orbitz (right now 48HRSALE saves 15%) which is in addition to the regular room discount Disney is offering during that period I feel like you would not be saving as much as you think (especially since many cheap orlando hotels are dirty and filled with bugs). Just be aware that if you book with orbitz just book two to a room and then contact orbitz to contact disney to add the third. Disney doesn't charge for the third (as long as they are a child) but Orbitz does if you add it at the time of booking and doesn't if you add after the fact by contacting orbitz through email
