Upcoming trip 2/7-2/16. we have 3 kiddos - 11, 8, 6. We have SDD FP for the 2 days we are at DHS - both early AM (830 and 850). we have a throw away in the middle at 955 (Disney Jr. Dance Party). Unfortunately, i was only able to get Star Tours at 1145AM (830AM SDD) and at 1225PM (850AM SDD). My 11 year old "must" ride RnRc. do i move my Star Tours FP to a 1040/145 throw away in hopes that after i check in i can immediately start working to get RnRc, and then hope to get a Star Tours after that (seems easier to get) or do i leave it as is and work to get RnRc as soon as we tap into Star Tours (1145/1225)? I'm torn. I've been trying to move Star Tours for weeks and only availability is after 6pm both days.....what would you do?

The obvious answer is to do RnR at rope drop or go standby at some other point. You'll get on it a lot faster than holding out for FP on it at a good time. Not sure how easy a time you'll even have finding a throwaway during the small gap between what your current Dis. Jr. is and what you have now.

How tall is the 6 year old? If that child can't ride you can also do rider swap so the 11 year old can ride twice.

i can sneak a muppet vision or a little mermaid time in between right now....

i had not even thought about rider swap. we had done that on FPs before, but never stand by. my 6 year old is too small for RnRc. that may be the solution i was looking for! Thank you David!

I just got back this week and we were at the park at about 6am for the 7am opening to get our boarding group for RotR. We rope dropped RnR and it was significantly less crowded at the rope drop on Sunset Blvd than people heading to either Toy Story Land or Galaxy's edge. We were the third car on RnR that morning. Especially if you go Monday-Wednesday (after the weekend and before President's day crowds arrive) you'll likely find that wait times for the ride even if not at rope drop will be manageable and as I mentioned, the two kids can ride twice (or you can even manage it where the 11 year old can ride 3 times if the eight year old doesn't want to go either by loaning him the middle child's magic band!)

Unless you are headed to SWGE, I would RD RnRC. The line will be very short.
Can even do twice.
