We leave Pres Week for WDW, and I am cautiously optimistic about FP+! As we all know, even the best plans can get waylaid at WDW due to unforeseen circumstances, and I'm sure we'll have our share of those, but this system has radically changed my touring plan (for the better). We used to do rope drop and frantically run around Fantasyland to get in as many rides as possible in an hour or so before DS had had enough. DS would get overwhelmed and spend each ride wondering what was coming next. Plus, doing RD required him to wait in a large crowd for about a half hour--which he hates, as he is looking at a bunch of butts from his w/c (that's when we could REALLY use a DAS
. For this trip, DS has been asking every day to see the FastPasses we have chosen and has asked--so what's the plan again? We arrive at around 10 or 11 every day, giving him time to ease into the day. Since he only likes a few rides, we have booked those. Toy Story is already booked! So is Soarin'! So is Buzz (twice--on 2 different days!) No rushing to wait for the elevator in The Land to get into the Soarin standby line while everyone else runs down the stairs. No cramming in at RD at DS to get in the FP/standby line for TSMM. I think FP+ will work well for those of us whose kids really need to know the plan and like structure. Anyone experience this yet? Please share!
