Since purchasing a hard ticket to a party gets you into MK at 4pm but the party doesn't start until 7pm is it possible to book FP+ from 4-7pm? Also, will you be able to book FP+ during the parties?

My plan is that for our arrival day to go to MVMCP and get into MK at 4pm, hit some of our favorites, grab a pork shank for dinner and then hit up the party. Are the capacities so low during the parties that rides don't need FP? Is there so much to do that are specific to the parties that you don't to do rides?

FP+ is not available during parties (legacy FP wasn't either). Lines are generally short, but there are so many party specific things to see and do, I personally would not focus on riding rides.

I don't know if you can schedule fastpasses from 4-7 with just a party ticket, so another poster can comment to that.

good question....i would think since the "actual" park closing time is 7pm then yes you could schedule fp for 4-7 time frame.

Called the ticket line and the CM said no FP at the party and none at the park beforehand without a park ticket.

This may change and when MNSSHP tickets go on sale that will be an indicator. Curious if it will go on the MagicBand or be kept separate.

For me personally it begs the question do I pop another $10/person to reserve some FP in that 4-7 window?

We were there last Dec and we were able to make FP+ selections for the 4-7pm time frame before the MVMCP started. We did not use our MB for park entrance since it was mentioned here on the boards that the system could not differentiate between reg park ticket and special event ticket--not worth the risk of loosing a day off our pkg. During the first parade etc--the rides were basically walk on, so no need for FP then. :)

How did you get in then? Did you get a separate real ticket for it?

I have been wondering this same thing. Does anyone else have experience with booking FP+ with a party ticket for the 4-7pm time frame?

Heard from someone on DIS who had like 25,000 posts that the answer is NO.

In order to book from 4-7 you'd have to use an 'entitlement' - basically a standard ticket from 4-7 and then get your wristband to stay past 7.

I'm confused - happens often ;) - if I have hoppers for my length of stay, I can get to party at 4, get in with my hopper, use fast passes from 4 to 7 and then gain entry to party with party ticket?

Will the magic band "know" to use the hopper when I enter the park at 4 and then my ticket for the party?

Last year FP was REALLY new so Disney told everyone to NOT link their party tickets to their bands to avoid this problem.

However, yes, you can use one of your hopper 'days', book 3 FPs from 4-7, then go back to the front of the park, submit your party pass, get your wristband and go to the party.

Last November, we made FP+ selections from 4-7 for the last Halloween party and the 1st Christmas party with our annual passes - which were linked to our MDE account. We then used our party tickets for entrance to the party, and were able to use all of the FP+ reservations even though we did not use our AP's for entrance to the MK.

This worked in November when FP+ was very new. Now, you might have to actually use the ticket linked to MDE and your FP+ reservations when entering the park. In November, you could use any ticket for park entrance and then use your FP+ reservations.

Thanks! :)

We were there in Dec. We were there 9 days, but only had 7 day tickets I was planning to upgrade to AP's. So, at first, once I had my 7 days booked with FP+s, I couldn't book anymore, even though I had party tickets for my last day. But, we did end up upgrading to AP's at the beginning of the trip, and after that I could book FP's in those 3 hours before the party.

The question is, can you book FP+ for 4-7pm IF you gained entry to the park at 4pm with JUST a MNSSHP ticket. This is what I need to know.

If it's like last year, NO....this is because you cannot link party tickets to MDX, so no linked tickets, no FastPass+.

Ah...but the PP says they did just that. It isn't that you CAN'T link you tickets, it was suggested that guest NOT link them. The guest apparently linked their party ticket so they could make FP+ reservations but used the actual party ticket itself to gain entry.

THIS. Twice.

We bought our party tickets online and printed out the ticket/pass. We entered with these printed tickets. FP+ between 4-7. No FP+ during party.

Did you make your 4-7pm FP+ selections in the park at the kiosks or were you able to use the app once in the park or were you able to schedule them in advance if you linked the party tix to your MDE account?

There were no park kiosks in the fall. I did it online via MDE. CM said just don't use your MB to enter park because tickets sit in a queue on band, will pull first it sees.

I also booked FP+ for last day also last day of my AP. Didn't want to risk MB pulling package tickets I was saving. I entered park with my hard ticket AP but used FP+ with my MB.
