I am not very familiar w/ AK, but we will be going on Sat. I have a few questions-
What is the fastest way to EE? :moped: When I enter the park I go----
Also, Does AK have a special Birhtday pin as in MK?
Can you get Into the Rainforest Cafe without leaving the park?

I have not been there yet,but looking at maps it looks like one of two ways will be the best. Either go to Asia from discovery island and take a sharp right once you get over the bridge. Or go to dino land and keep making lefts. They both look about the same distance.
There is an entrance to the rainforest cafe without going out of the park, although you technically do exit the park, and need to re enter once you are done at the restaurant.
don't know about the birthday pins

Go thru Dinoland- as everyone is heading over to Africa and Asia. Turn left right before where Tarzan used to be and head over to the ride. You can see EE from the road even. When we were at AK, the CMs at the gate were telling everyone it was OPEN on the days we were there so everyone was going that direction- they did have the FP line open though.

good luck

Is EE open to the public on select days or just AP and DVC members? Anyway of knowing what days they will be running previews?

Going through Dinoland is the best option for getting to Expedition:Everest. If you go through Asia, you'll have to deal with the exiting crowds (possibly) of It's Tough to be a Bug as well and people trying to get to Kali River Rapids. There's no telling if Everest will be open when you are there. The sneaks are for everyone now so you just have to ask or be lucky.

Stop in at Guest Relations after you go through the turnstyles (it over to the left) and ask for a birthday button.

You will have to exit the park to go to the Rainforest Cafe. There is a separate way to get over there from the park. It's over to the left and there's a big colorful sign saying "Rainforest Cafe". It's quite painless to do this - just keep your ticket with you for readmission.

We were there on Wednesday and rode EE twice, and we are not DVC members or AP holders. I'm not sure of their system, but it was open all day Wednesday to anyone!

The guide map still says under construction though, so I think a lot of people didn't even go over to try and ride it.
